When Hope called Thomas and Beth buddies

When Hope threw Liam out and later when he was in jail, there were scenes with Thomas coming out of Beth's bedroom.
She left Thomas alone at the cabin with Beth more than once. She let Thomas babysit Beth and Douglas in Beth's bedroom.
In one scene he came back from babysitting Beth with toys and disguises, it was implied they had fun.
Thomas called Beth his little pal and said she can always count on him even if she isn't his daughter. Hope was smiling at him, called them buddies and said Beth is a fan of Thomas.
I don't recall the exact episodes and the dialogs, but it shows the issues about Beth were dealt with years ago.
Liam didn't mind either. It isn't like Hope was doing it behind his back.
Once he realizes Hope is the one who has been going after Thomas, he will cool down a bit and cut Thomas some slack.
If Hope moves in with Thomas and takes Beth, I doubt Liam will object.
