They can't make it too quickly.

Hope would come out looking like an insensitive idiot if she just admitted to Thomas and to others that she loves him and let's Liam go......and then there is Beth and Douglas to consider, so they are going to drag this out forever. Thomas could perhaps stop things or make it go faster, at least if he too admits that he is wrong, he is not telling the truth when he says that he is not that man anymore but he still loves her.
Then let the chips fall where they may.

That's fine. I don’t need the story to go faster It just doesn’t need to be the only story happening it would be more powerful if it happened organically over time. Little scenes here and there. Show us scenes of her becoming disenchanted with Liam not in re: to Thomas just in general. It’s all anyone is talking about. Other stories need movement. That's how you keep all fans engaged.
