This is May Sweeps? (Spoilers)

These spoilers are so boring. Last year at the end of May it was revealed Finn was alive. Is anything interesting going to happen this year?
There is nothing going on. The show doesn’t even have a. “Hot plot section” in SOD this week or any sneak peek photos. The need for multiple stories has never been more apparent. Taylor & Brooke with their Jr high pact and Hope making goo-goo eyes at Thomas while Liam walks around clueless and Steffy snoops is not good soap.


Sweeps months have never been more interesting than any other months for me, at least on B&B. This isn't specific for this year. Some November sweeps were completely eventless, example in 2016, 2018 and 2021. Same for July sweeps.

In 2019, we were in the middle of the Baby Beth Story, and nothing happened in the sweeps months (May or July). The baby switch happened in January, the reveal happened in August. The 6 months (February-July) were just preparing us for the reveal that Beth was alive.

This year, the drama will all take place in June in Rome. Everything that's happening now is preparing the characters for the upcoming events in Italy.

That's true. May is rarely the most interesting month.

2021 is a good example too. Hayes's paternity story ended in March. Vinny died in April. The truth about Vinny's suicide was revealed in July. Nothing interesting happened in May.
No major development in May 2019 for the baby switch, except Flo and Zoe repeating the same things day after day. Caroline's death was revealed in March. Reveal in July-August.
In 2018, Bill's shooting took place in March. The truth about Taylor was revealed in April. Kelly's birth and Leffy's reunion was in June. Nothing happened in May except Lope's interrupted wedding.
In 2017 the Leffy wedding was in March. Sheila's return was in June and the truth about Quidge came out in July. Nothing in May.
In 2016 the truth about Quinn and Liam came out in April, not May.
In 2015 the reveal about Maya being transgender was in March. Rick found out during the last week of May but the aftermath mostly took place in June. May was all about Nicole and Maya repeating the same things every day.


Thanks for these examples it's true he doesn't seem to follow sweeps as closely as other shows. this just feels particularly bad but maybe I am just burnt out.
