This is the age of social media and the internet.
This is what's going to happen in daytime now. Ratings are important and Bell Jrs bad writing has cost him alot of those. The leak of this reunion while annoying is specifically for the fan base he has lost from 1 of the 2 actors who have helped build this show.
I don't like it either but it makes sense why it's happening this way in this instance.
