Liam can't forgive cheating?

Is that what he said? After losing steffy's paternity test pageant, that's what he said?

Now I got a problem with Liam. He's consistent, I guess since he dumped Steffy for cheating. I just want to know what makes him think that what's good for the goose is not allowed for the gander.

But he forgave Steffy for Bill, no? It took him a few months, but he got there, even went back to her for a while. He has forgiven Hope a lot too. I don't get why he would say that. I will have to rewatch the scene in its context.

In this situation, I think the case will be more complex than "forgive not forgive". Maybe he can forgive Hope, but can he accept it and be happy with her for the rest of his life knowing she is in love with his worst ennemy? Will Hope even want him to forgive her? The way she is acting now around Thomas, it's clear it's more than just having some feelings for him.

Why should Liam makes sacrifices and stay with Hope if it makes them both miserable in the long run? If Hope and Liam are unhappy, Beth will be unhappy too. It's a complex situation. More complex than "will Liam forgive or not?"

Liam never went back to Steffy. So I see it as unforgiving.

Liam: Yeah. And we meant them. We did. But I think your dad was right. We were sabotaged.

Steffy: Yeah.

I don't want kelly to grow up in an environment without... without that. Without that kind of love. I'm tired of being angry. I just -- I just want to take the wounds that my father inflicted on us and -- and let them motivate me to be the best father and husband I can be. You asked me if I -- if I found forgiveness. I have. I found it in her.

Liam: And I see it in your eyes, too, steffy. I mean, when I look at you, I don't see the past anymore. I see the future. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you and our daughter.

The difference is Liam loved Bill, he hates Thomas. And Steffy had no feelings for Bill... Hope has feelings for Thomas. Not comparable, IMO.

I don't see where he said he forgave her. That was for kelly. That's how he was able to cheat on her with hope. No forgiveness.

The story with Bill was in November 2017. You think 5 years and a half later, he still hasn't forgiven her? He hasn't even brought STILL up since like 2019, so I don't see how he can still resent her for that. I think he loves Hope more (maybe) but if Hope hadn't come back from Italy, he would still be married to Steffy today, with probably 2 other kids. That's my way to think he has forgiven her.

In this case, I think the emotional part is what will hurt his heart the most. If Hope sleeps with Thomas but still wants him, he would get over it fast if she comes clean, shows sincere remorse and still wants him. Knowing about her feelings for Thomas will be harder to get over (especially if he learns the truth from Steffy and not Hope).

He is still a hypocrite, if that's your point. I won't argue that part.

I said nothing about resenting Steffy. I said nothing about still bringing it up. I have no idea who he'd be married to if Hope hadn't returned from Italy. Case in point, Katie STILL has not forgiven Brooke or Bill. She hasn't moved on, but in Liam's case, he has moved on. Doesn't mean he forgave it. Hell, some people marry people still harboring unforgiveness for certain things. Some people carry things to their death beds not forgiving -- even though they've found a way to move and still relate to the family members, still love the family members, etc. That's just how life is sometimes.

Heck, we JUST learned Hope is harboring stuff about liam from years and years back, so.........

So yeah, I think it's possible Liam hasn't forgiven it after 5 years. that's not even a lot of time in the real world. I don't know why it's so hard to fathom that he hasn't forgiven it; therefore, he won't get back in a relationship with her -- but he will befriend her.
