Have to admit... the show is more enjoyable than 1 year ago

Still terrible compared to the first 2 decades or even the 2010s. The writing is still bad BUT...

1 year ago there was only 1 story at a time. The bottle switch, Finn's fake death; with the the parent trap in the middle. Plus a Paris triangle. 3 unending and dreadful plots.

I didn't like Ridge/Bill/Deacon's plan to trap Sheila but as bad as it was, it was still better than Sheila's crazy obsession with her son and grandson. Bad writing, but good final twist. And I'm sure Sheila will be back before the end of the year, with a revenge plan. Until then I hope they keep Steffy-Finn backburned (no more Leffy cheating please)

I like the idea that Hope is torn. It's about time Hope and Liam have a decent storyline. Knowing how successful the baby switch was (won the Emmy of the best writing), I'm shocked it took so long to bring them back front and center.

As loco as Thomas is, I'm happy the show is finally acknowledging the chemistry between AN and MA. I prefer a torn Hope over a delusional Thomas. Controversial couple but it brings endless possibilities. Hope is in a huge quandary and I can't wait to see how she handles it. Biggest turning point in her life.

I don't like Brooke and Taylor's friendship but glad they're no longer crying over Ridge. Happy to see Brooke trying to date another guy (Hollis). Even if it doesn't amount to anything, at least she gave it a try. I still hate Taylor but was glad to hear her acknowledging Ridge was the biggest problem (and not Brooke).

Excited to see Eric and Donna's upcoming storylines. I liked Eric and Quinn in the beginning but I was done after her affair with Ridge. I think Donna is Eric's true soulmate because he only went back to Stephanie after Donna dumped him, and now he dumped Quinn for Donna. I hope Eric lives until 100 and spends his last years with her.

Happy Stephen sticking around. A lot of histroy to revisit here, especially between Stephen and Eric and the Logans. He is Brooke's father and a legacy character, I will never see him as an intruder. Lucy seems like a wonderful person, and I hope she sticks around too.

RJ's return... endless possibilities too. I have seen Josh Hoffman in a lifetime thriller with Lindsey Godrey (ex-Caroline), he is both sexy and talented. Great choice.

Don't care much for Katie and Carter but a triangle with Bill could spice things up. This would be the first time Bill has to fight for her, it was always the other way around until now. If she chooses Bill, surely they will fast find a new target for Carter (Steffy or Taylor maybe?)

Paris-Zende... give them a baby or have Grace fall for Zende. The couple is boring so far but witht the right storyline, they will work.

The reveal of Deacon's secret with Sheila will also be interesting, especially from Hope's perspective. I hope they don't try to minimize his involvment. It wasn't just a careless mistake, he hid Sheila for months and lied to everyone. Make it an explosive reveal that sends Hope over the edge.

The best thing is it's not as predictable as last year. It was obvious Ridge and Brooke would be manipulated by Sheila and Taylor's kids. Finn being alive was one of the most predictable twists. Paris and Carter were too mismatched. This time there are a lot of unpredictable storylines. How far will Hope go with Thomas and how will Liam react? Will Brooke crack or move on from Ridge? Is Taylor's pact sincere? Will Katie go back to Bill or stay with Carter? What is Eric and Donna's surprise story? When and how will Sheila escape? How will RJ's return fit? Etc...

I will probably change my mind for the umpeenth time later. But at the moment, I think the show is tolerable. (In my opinion)

Too many rewinds originality they need….no to sticking Paris with zende I hate to see him stuck
