When have Lope "imploded on their own"?

I regularly see it stated. They always implode on their own. But when? I can't even recall ONE example of a Lope long-term breakup that wasn't based on a lie, a manipulation or an unwanted pregnancy.

1st breakup happened because she thought he had sex with Amber. He didn't. Amber made that up.
Then Hope thought Amber was carrying Liam's baby. She wasn't. She lied about it and then Tawny stole Liam's cellphone and texted Hope with it.

2nd breakup only became official because Steffy stole Liam's cellphone and then she and Bill actively schemed to keep Hope from contacting Liam. Lope would have reconciled the same day if not for Bill and Steffy's manipulations. Hope was on her way to reunite with Liam, first in LA, then in Aspen.
Later their reunion was only delayed because of Cabo. Then Steffy's fake blood clot.

3rd breakup was the result of a long list of manipulations. Bill, Justin, Allison and Deacon all worked together to trick Liam in Italy. Then Rick and Othello had to intervene as well. Hope only dumped Liam because she thought he had sex with Steffy before. He didn't.

4th breakup only happened because Steffy was pregnant and that pregnancy was the result of Rick and Othello's lie. Hope sent Liam back to Steffy for the sake of his unborn baby. That's not an implosion.

5th breakup was the result of months of interferences from Quinn and Wyatt. I don't recall all the details, but Quinn hacked Liam's computer and sent Hope a video. Then she brought Steffy back on his wedding day. Then she had to trap Liam in an elevator to keep him from reuniting with Hope.

6th breakup only happened because Quinn pushed Ivy in the river. Hope thought Liam didn't want her and settled for Wyatt. Then the only reason she didn't immediately go back to Wyatt was because she was pregnant. Same as the 4th breakup except this time, Wyatt replaced Steffy.

7th breakup wasn't an implosion. Hope sent Liam back to Steffy after Kelly's birth. But then the writing made it obvious Hope was the woman Liam truly wanted.

8th breakup only happened because Hope thought her baby was stillborn. Result of months and months of lies from Flo, Thomas, Shauna, Zoe and Xander. And months of emotional manipulations from Thomas (the forged letter, drugging Liam, using Douglas,..)

The last breakup only happened because Vinny fixed the results of the test. Hope believed Steffy was carrying Liam's child and threw Liam out. They never even talked about divorce. As soon as Hope knew Liam wasn't the daddy, they got back together. Then they were pulled apart again by Vinny's manipulations. He set Liam up for murder.

So when have Hope or Liam "imploded on their own"? All of their separations were based on manipulations, or unwanted pregnancies. Steffy, Thomas, Wyatt, Quinn, Amber, Oliver, Tawny, Stephanie, Bill, Taylor, Rick, Othello, Deacon, Alison, Justin, Reese, Flo, Shauna, Zoe, Xander and Vinny have all kept a secret, made up something or plotted against them at some point. They have all failed, and miserably.

The manipulations would never have worked if Hope and Liam had faith in each other. Both of them were quick to believe the worst of the other and turn to Option 2. Eventually they did end up together but they wouldn't have been separated in the first place if they had just communicated with each other. That's why it was so easy to manipulate them and happened so many times.

Having said that though, the Liam and Hope I see today are not the same Liam and Hope from ten years ago (I wasn't watching during the mannequin story so I'm not counting that). I feel like they both have matured, become parents and have a lot more trust in each other than they did previously. The old Hope would have broken up with Liam the night he stayed over at Steffys and didn't call or text her after Steffy came home from the hospital. But she didn't. She was upset but she waited for him to come home, vocalized that she was upset and they talked it out. The old Liam by now would have literally married Steffy again (Finn who?) given the amount of time Hope is spending with Thomas. But even though he's concerned about it, he trusts her. I don't think he has even considered for one moment that she will cheat on him.

I think Lope will get through this just fine and possibly stronger than ever. At this time they are the most stable and sensible couple on this soap.
