Liam should stop Hope from taking Beth with her when she sleeps at Eric's. She is depriving her husband time with his daughter!

I think it's a complicated situation. Hope wants to maintain a positive relationship with Thomas because of Douglas. And she knows that insisting Douglas come back to the cabin could ignite an ugly custody battle which wouldn't be good for him. Liam is suspicious that Thomas is still obsessed with Hope. Both Liam and Hope are in a tough place.

I don't blame Liam one bit for being protective of Hope and suspicious of Thomas. I also wouldn't blame Hope if she asked him for a little understanding, given how much Liam was supporting Steffy after the shooting. Hope doesn't know what the viewers know...that Thomas made the CPS call.

Hope had to sit back and watch Liam pretend to be Steffy's husband for days. Steffy, the person that tried to ruin her life so many times and who her husband cheated on her with. And she had to listen to Taylor rub it in her face that Liam would always be there for Steffy because they had a deep, abiding love for each other. She was patient while Liam spent all day at Steffy's house and even spent the night. He was away from HIS family with Hope because he wanted to be there for Steffy.

Like I said, it's complicated.

I don't think Steffy believed Liam was her husband for "days", to be fair. In soap time it lasted 5 episodes, but in real time it was less than 24h. That was just a very long day, until Liam old her about Finn. From the characters' perpective, I don't think Finn was presumed dead for more than 1 month either.

Steffy moved to Europe the day after they busted Sheila. How long did Liam really spend at her house? Not sure, but I don't think there were more than 2 days (soap time) between her return from the hospital and the moment she remembered Sheila was her shooter. This plot with Hope Liam Thomas and Douglas has been ongoing for weeks, if not months and it's far from over.

I don't think the timeline changes anything. They're both wrong. Hope is wrong now. Liam was wrong then. Liam thought what he was doing was right but it disrespected Hope, IMO. Hope thinks she's doing what's right for Douglas but it hurts Liam. It's a sticky situation and I'm sure Thomas will take advantage of it. And that's what this story is really about, if you ask me. Not whether Hope is wrong or Liam is wrong...but how Thomas will use it to his advantage. Thomas is the villain in this story. Not Hope or Liam.

"You're the love of my life."

Liam to Hope. Debate over.
