Ridge knew that he had to lie

He knows Taylor and that once she gets into the "I choose me mood" it lasts months until she cracks again. He never had problems with lying to women so when he saw that she won't allow him to go back to her if he said the truth he lied... It had everything to do with Brooke and she will know it sooner or later. I am more surprised that Taylor is suddenly so proud that she even runs from Ridge. She is the woman that was after a married man for 10 whole months. She was constantly telling him how unhappy he is with his wife and how he can't trust her. Now she's the proudest girl on the continent? Laughable. She knew that she would be his second choice also 10 months ago... It wasn't a problem back then, but it's a problem now?


Well, isn't the idea that she had an epiphany? IRL people decide that enough is enough, and they want off of the merry-go-round, and it can happen suddenly.
Do we not want people to change and grow? The idea that somehow he lied because he loves Brooke so much is ridiculous. No man that loves a woman would have handled the situation this way. Don't get me wrong; I don't think he is in love with Taylor, either. Ridge only loves himself, but his behavior is not on Taylor or Brooke. And it is weird that you somehow blame Taylor for his actions. It seems like no matter what Taylor does to you, it is wrong.

If she grew then she should be angry with herself for running after a married man, but she was just angry that Ridge didn't choose her for 10 months. She even claimed that she is not a homewrecker after she acted like one for almost a year. If she grew maybe she should see that she isn't better than the 1998 Brooke at all despite being way older atm. So many psychological games, kisses, kids nagging and still nothing was going forward for her and Ridge. When did I blame Taylor for Ridge's actions? I just wrote that I am not buying that being his second choice is suddenly a problem for Taylor... Not after all these months... Heck! After 17 years of her hoping that he will end up with her because Brooke disappointed him despite him going to her only when he and Brooke argue or someone is scheming. Of course it's just my opinion that you do not have to agree with. I bet Taylor will just ignore everything that Ridge did for the past 17 years and she'll happily get back with him in the next episode or after few episodes max.
