The simple fact that the caller was identified as Brooke Logan rather than Brooke Forrester makes it obvious is part of the Tridge Mafia.

That part actually makes me wonder if it could be Douglas.Thomas knows Brooke would identify herself as Brooke Forrester it seems odd he would say Logan if trying to set her up. Douglas on the other hand might not realize.

I don't think it's odd that Thomas used Brooke Logan because he and Steffy have never view Brooke as part of the Forrester family even though she's married to their dad.

I get his personal feelings but if he were trying to fool everyone he would want to make it authentic.

True, but the Brooke hatred is extremely deep that even in his scheming, he's refusing to use her married last name of Forrester.
