I agree and I find it extremely frustrating. Especially as it is only certain characters whose misdeeds ar forgotten and never brought up again.
We had months now of Brooke´s "misdeeds" being brought up day after day, they even invented things that never happened like Brooke cheating on Ridge "all the time and with many men" when this actually is a big fat lie. But no one is allowed to bring up Taylor´s crimes and even if some of Tom´s are mentioned the narrative is now that he is a changed man.
This applies to things that happened years ago but also to recent things like Tom withholding what he knew about Sheila and maybe now the call to CPS (if it really was Tom).
I am watching a German show too for 16 years now, a daily soap, and it is far more gratifying as nearly all the crimes committed will come up one day, some sooner, some later...but as a viewer you want to see misdeeds and crimes come to light finally, even after years, and the wrongdoers get punished in some way.
