Ridge calls Brooke his DESTINY
Recap from Soap Central 3rd November, 1997
This was when Ridge proposed to Brooke in Lake Como.
Brooke is almost in tears as Ridge gives her an engagement ring. Brooke doesn't think Ridge will ever be able to forget about Taylor though. Ridge is adamant that his relationship with Taylor is in the past. One word describes Ridge and Brooke's relationship, he says: destiny. Ridge and Brooke were meant to be together.
Ridge called Brooke his DESTINY first. If I remember correctly wasn't the yacht they sailed on with their first honeymoon called Destiny?
Brooke keeps getting bagged for calling Ridge and Bridge destiny and there are those who never watched those scenes who deny those of us who watched and remember. But it was Ridge who first referred to Bridge as DESTINY. Brooke is just reiterating Ridge's words.
Words … 6 months later he realised Brooke used fraud to extort the marriage and asked for an annulment
It was not destiny but LIES that reunited them
Brooke was his destiny at the express condition Taylor had chosen Thorne over him and was expecting his child
6 months later Taylor who LIED like a dog her whole pregnancy about who the father was, emotionally blackmailed Ridge to choose Thomas and by choosing Thomas her as well, by telling him that if he chose to stay married to Brooke she would move to New York to be near her father. Teflon Taylor once again was rewarded for her lies while Brooke was punished.
Brooke was NOT rewarded for HER lies nor for assaulting Ridge when he was drunk that caused Taylor to dump him in the first place.
Taylor lied bc she had too much pride to trap a man with a baby (She’s not a Logan) and spent her pregnancy heartbroken thinking Ridge had cheated and wanted Brooke when he did not.
Taylor never threatened to prevent Ridge from seeing his son.
Ridge told Brooke he loved Taylor ALL ALONG and would have never married Brooke if she hadn’t lied and that she KNEW it.
Ridge just went back to HIS original plan, derailed by Brooke throwing herself at Ridge in vain after her marriage to Grant was found illegal.
