It’s not going to happen. So many of us have begged for more realistic 21st century stories. If soaps are incapable of presenting soapy stories without degrading women, then maybe soaps aren’t for modern times. I never ever believed Ridge deserved to be a romantic lead. It’s one thing to be a bad boy who defies protocols or rules. It’s another thing to be emotionally abusive to so many women. Honestly, I don’t care for many of the characters on BB anymore. The men treat women like dirt, constantly pitting one woman against the other, and the women allow them to do it.

Sounds like modern day real life to me.
