I need to believe Bridge is done. Brill won’t help me do that. How many times has Brooke rejected Bill for Ridge. As long as Katie is still around crying poor me, I won’t believe Brill has a chance.

That's the thing. I always thought this soap opera was built around Bridge. Built around Stephanie's son and Beth's daughter locked in destiny because of Stephanie's actions, conspiring to have Eric be Ridge's father.

Before we knew she'd done that, I still thought it was about Eric's son and Beth's daughter having what Eric and Beth couldn't have.

Taylor does not fit into that. Neither does Bill or anyone else.

I think you're right about Ridge and Brooke. B&B is built around them. Ridge is just acting like a horse's behind now, and yes, you're right, Taylor has no place in the central scheme of things. She's really peripheral.

It reminds me of one of those long romance novels, where the guy and girl meet on page one, but you have to go through 500 pages or more of obstacles and then they're happily ever after finally. That's how I've always thought of them no matter how many women come along.

Brooke revealed back in Season one or two that she'd actually fallen in love with Ridge in 1985 or something like that. She'd seen him on a talk show or something, giving an interview -- and that was PRE Caroline, who he'd only known a couple of months before he proposed to her to spite her father.

No, this was destiny. What it is now -- I don't know anymore.
