Technically it is gas lighting

If it's gaslighting, it won't work...at least not with me.
The more they change history, the more they whitewash Taylor and bash Brooke, the more I will remember what really happened back then. :roll

My bet new viewers could care less…they want new stuff not dragged out reruns. Jmo

If they are new viewers they are getting what they think is new stuff. They wouldn't know about dragged out reruns because being new viewers they haven't seen them.

How many TV shows do you stream without binge watching the seasons you missed, first? A soap opera in not like Seinfeld, or BBT, it is the continuing story, not a one off tv show. In comedy shows they call the writing that is going on with BB right now, "rubber band reality" and it works in comedies. There is also the term for TV shows called "the reset button technique" used in drama to kill off a main character, but does not work when you only reset the history of one character. That is called a flaw in continuity. They could be doing a reboot, but it is tricky and usually fails for the show. Also, a reboot means they are bringing back the show, or in this case the character, but keeping the past in tact. Like Full House, to Fuller House, or One Day at a Time with reboot to L.A. with a cuban-american family.
