Ridge Could Shut All of This Down

If he wanted to Ridge could put an end to Taylor, Thomas, and Steffy relentlessly pushing for a Tridge reunion. Does he like the attention? Sure but it's not just about that. If Ridge 100% wanted to be with Brooke and there wasn't a question in his mind, if he didn't doubts about her, he'd put his wedding ring back on and that would be that. He does have doubts though. Regardless of how many times he says he loves Brooke he clearly has doubts and questions. This won't stop until he faces those doubts and decides whether he can live with them.

He has tried! More than once! But they are relentless and don't listen. I'm not excusing his behaviour, I too think he should be more firm but it's honestly embarrassing for a man to continue telling his ex wife and daughter that he loves his current wife when the two simply won't take no for an answer. What is even the point? I think even if he screams it from the rooftops or puts a front page ad in the paper, they will still not get the message. This is Steffys nature. She was the same way with Liam. Completely relentless like a bulldozer. And with her mum tacitly encouraging her she's even more so.

He may have tried but very obviously not hard enough. He can be as firm as he likes but when he's giving mixed signals then what other outcome can he expect. He says he loves his wife. He tries to shut down his overgrown toddler daughter when she trashes his wife and ignores her repeated dummy spits about how he should be with his adultering ex wife but his actions speak another message. In front of his adult toddlers he allows his ex wife to drape herself all over him, he puts his arm around and feels her up repeatedly, he kissed her in Monaco and she and her banshee daughter were excited over this so called epic kiss and what it must mean. A picture paints a thousand words and if a stranger walked into the room and saw Ridge and Taylor with their hands all over each other they would assume these two were married. RIdge says the words but his actions say otherwise. If Ridge truly loved Brooke he would never disrespect her the way he has been for months. He certainly would have never allowed his ex wife to slobber and drape all over him and he would never be feeling her up every opportunity he gets. He would never ever ever have gone to a Forrester dinner when he knew damn well she was not welcome. His actions don't back up his words. Brooke needs to dump this cheating loathsome toad. She deserves so much better than Ridge.
