A heartfelt SL is being thrown under the bus

There is a heartfelt, heart breaking SL happening that could be done so well, and it is being tossed under a bus to give Steffy and Taylor something to whine about. What a waste. What is happening with Tom and Hope is bigger than all the nosey parkers getting involved.

There is some real honesty, fear, concern and love being played out in their scenes. But, it is being pushed aside for the paint throwing nonsense, and Steffy and her Boris Badenov impressions.

This SL could have some meat on it's bones and even be a moment of love and understanding and empathy between Hope and Tom, who do share so much history and feelings between them.


I am still hopeful those two will work it out together. I actually don't think Thomas is doing this because of his mom or Steffy. He really wants to be a better dad to Douglas. This should be between Liam/Thomas/Hope period.

IA. I hope this is about Thope and their love for each other, real love. When Taylor crawled out of the grave, and kicked Hope and RJ and Brooke out of their home, Tom was upset for Hope and RJ both, but especially Hope. He loved her like a little sister. Later when Steffy wanted him to get Hope drunk and date rape her, he did not want to do it, even though he was falling in love with her. When he lied at Stephanie's request and said he and Brooke had sex on the island, and it cost Brooke everything, he start losing his mind over it and Stephanie just kept hissing in his ear to "grow up and do the right thing for the family"....and after he told Stephanie he needed to tell his dad and Brooke the truth, and she screeched at him, she ended up throwing him under the bus and told the truth herself. Tom loves Hope, and he knows she has always been there for him when his own family just used him. When she thought she had knocked him into the acid vat, and saw he was alive, she grabbed him and hugged him and was relieved that he was not dead....and he was overjoyed at her caring about him. Taylor even created the mess they have now, out of her using Tom to try and get Liam back for Steffy. Tom knows his mother loves Steffy more than him. Ridge tried to steal his son because he did not think Tom was good enough to have him. All of this has affected him, but the 1 person that has never given up on him is Hope. So, IMHO this could be a great SL about an honest love for someone.
