When the show itself ignores the storyline and expects its “fans” to disregard what they watched, what do they expect?

If it’s an “on-going” storyline, it’s kinda important to actually have a start-middle-end of an arc. They totally disregard the history that fans watched...and pretend otherwise.

Example: Taylor and her kids. We all watched as they killed others, and zero consequences. That’s annoying to wait for the payoff that be we comes. We saw Taylor slaughter Darla in a drunken stupor...then winced as we saw her manipulate and deceive a grieving Thorne, and we watched her terrorize his grieving daughter. We thought she’d finally get her due...for her lifetime of lies and deceitful manipulation. What did we get? Poor Aly was disregarded and her own grandma didn’t care enough about her, and her loss, and the way she was abused by Taylor.
Taylor walked away. Unscathed. And it’s been like that for years. We all assume we’re goung to see Taylor and her evil kids get what’s coming to them, there is never any follow through. Not once have they paid, Not only that, their sins are NEVER thrown in their faces. Yet Brooke gets raked over the coals constantly.

Their ratings are down cause they disregard the audience. SC just admitted it, recently, saying how they “wish the fans would forget sometimes”. That is not how a serial works. If fans are not getting the payoff from a story, what’s the point of watching?

They deserve the ratings slump.
