hope knew what she was doing she knew that ridge would be mad at the picture of brooke and deacon because she knows how ridge feels about deacon hope is getting revenge on her mom for choosing ridge over deacon

But she was Bridge's biggest cheerleader. This seems contrived and doesn't make sense.

Could be KA is not clicking with anyone so far, so they are giving her Ridge to try and make Taylor a viable character. It does seem contrived to me too, considering KKL was suppose to be with them in MC and could not go, so this is a rewrite of what was planned. I doubt they were going to have Deacon and Hope in MC to snap a photo. JMO
