No matter what happens in the future, Carter should know he was never and would never have been Quinn's first choice. She had hundreds of opportunities to leave her wealthy life with Eric and she didn't take it. She will only run to Carter because Eric is done with her and prefers Donna. That makes Carter a vulgar consolation price. Finn and Zende will welcome him to the club of the guys who "won" the girl by default.
