Quinn isn't Sheila. She just doesn't tolerate foolishness and she can a very over-involved mother as sort of an overcompensation for the lack of attention she got from her own mother.

She becomes over-involved alright, like spiking drinks and pushing people down cliffs into the ocean trying to kill them. An older woman who has a middle-aged son can't use the excuse that she didn't get enough love and attention from her mother. That's ridiculous. Quinn is acting like a pre-schooler, but so does Carter, so the two are perfect for each other, until...Quinn's dark side comes out and Carter becomes her victim, and he will. Then we'll see how much he "loves" her. Oh, excuse me, lusts after the witch.
