Well, that much is obvious. I haven't watched yet, but IMO, he's taking is heck of a risk. Someone could recognise him dining with his side piece and chance it getting back to Quinn. However, perhaps that's what Eric's hoping will happen. Seems he hasn't got the spine to tell Quinn he's in love with his pickle ball partner.

Donna is not his side piece, she is quickly becoming the love of his later life, and is on the road to being Mrs. Eric Forrester, again. That is what happens when you actually love someone unconditionally. LOL. The cheating self absorbed spouse gets the heave-HO. That seems like such an appropriate expression to use where cheating Quinn in concerned. Maybe Eric could have gotten past Carter, if only he did not have the memory of her cheating with Ridge too.

If that’s the case he needs to get on with it. Be upfront with Quinn and end his marriage. And Donna should stop settling for crumbs. She doesn’t come across as the love of his life, she just comes across as cheap. Right now he wants to have his cake and eat it too.
