Eric being "classy" is a huge myth. He came from a very ordinary family - like the Logans - which is why he is so fond of the Logan women.

Stephanie was the one who brought class to the Forrester family.

Back in the 90s, Eric's brother John was married to a lady named Maggie who was an absolute sweetheart, but her background was such that even SHEILA called her a "peasant" and a "hick". She worked as Stephanie's MAID, more or less, after divorcing Eric's brother.

Eric is the OPPOSITE of classy. It's Stephanie's father's money, and Stephanie's contacts and worldliness and sophistication that made Eric what he is - she could speak multiple foreign languages, as she demonstrated in 1987, and Eric DEPENDED on her to impress their clients and buyers all the time.
