Naive Finn doesn't know Steffy at all..he doesn't realize that Steffy will never have empathy for anyone except maybe her parents. LOL. He's in for a major shock that an ungrateful Steffy will never accept Sheila who already saved Kelly's life before plus now she offered herself to keep Steffy and the kids safe..these things don't matter to Steffy who holds forever grudges like she did Brooke and Hope, and will too with Sheila.

Say you’ve realized you need to have a relationship with your psycho egg donor despite the fact that she tried to kill both of you, held you hostage and drove the mother who raised you over a bridge in flames, sure, 
but also say that you realize your wife doesn’t want one and you hope they can meet somewhere in the middle someday. Kind of like he said to Hope? She did not go to Sheila’s twice and punch her. She went to Sheila’s once when she returned from Europe and punched her in a bravado maneuver to feel like she could have her life in LA back. The second time (after Sheila had to start a conversation with her unrelated “grandchild” Kelly and ask if she remembered her) it was Sheila who started the physical fight and got the best of Steffy. She might have choked Steffy to death right then if Finn and Deacon hadn’t come in and stopped the fight.

She did not go to Sheila’s twice and punch her. She went to Sheila’s once when she returned from Europe and punched her in a bravado maneuver to have her life in LA back. The second time (after Sheila had to start a conversation with her unrelated “grandchild” Kelly and ask if she remembered her) it was Sheila who started the physical fight and got the best of Steffy. She might have choked Steffy to death right then if Finn and Deacon hadn’t come in and stopped the fight.
Actually, you left out the part that the 2nd time, Sheila asked Steffy to leave, but Steffy refused and that is why the fight started and Steffy did punch her again in Sheila's home so it is twice that Steffy done so.

Steffy and her family have had many very bad experiences with Sheila that explain her current feelings toward the psycho, and she told Finn that Sheila was a nonstarter before she signed the marriage certificate. They should have just called it quits, or at least taken a step back from marriage, at that time, instead of Finn pretending he didn’t care about pursuing a relationship with Sheila. Finn is showing that he doesn’t understand or care about his wife by the very way he’s breaking the news of Sheila being alive to her. He should sit her down and break it to her gently. For goodness sakes he saw that even Hope fainted. It should be more than obvious that his wife will now feel even more scared of/angry at Sheila than she was feeling the day Sugar showed up at the Cliff House, and he should be presenting this news in a completely different way that reflects his understanding of her feelings. I have a feeling that Steffy will have bigger problem than Finn and Deacon did with the idea that Sheila tricked someone into having plastic surgery to look like her. Just guessing.
Steffy can file for a divorce and just leave the marriage if she can't handle Sheila's changed for the better or not buying the story that Sheila tried to save her and the kids. She has a choice just like Finn does too, but Steffy is too stuck up to ever have empathy for anyone..she thinks that only her feelings count/matter.
And that is exactly what I hope she does. IMO being terrified of a murder and multi-attempted murderer should take precedence over playing mommy with a stranger.
Except, a violent bully Steffy has been shown she's not "terrified" of big bad Sheila though.
Being scared of Sheila and trying to show she’s not is what’s made Steffy act stupidly at times. It was very obvious she was very scared of her when she took the kids to Europe and when she was confronted by Sugar.
If Steffy is truly scared of Sheila, she would stay away from Sheila, and NOT go poking and harrassing the bear repeatedly.
How could anyone not be afraid of someone who shot them when they were trying to call 911 to save their husband’s life? Of course she’s truly afraid of her. Steffy doesn’t want to admit she’s afraid of Sheila, and even more than that she doesn’t want Sheila to know she is. As I said, this has caused her to do some stupid things.

Sheila was in the right place at the right time, for the wrong reason. She saved the unrelated child and the butt of the irresponsible dolt who turned his back on a child in his care at the beach.

Well, the writing gave me a reason to believe that Sheila tried to save Steffy and the kids from Sugar..so, I will go with the dialogue. The show seemed to be on some kind of long redemption tour..first it's Thomas, and now it's Sheila.
I noticed they NO longer play that weird psycho music during Sheila's scenes.

I could be wrong, but I think what happened in the flashback is what happened. That was the point of it because everyone would question it if Sheila just said it. Maybe there is more to it; I don't know.
What I do know is she could have let Kelly drown or just watched, thinking Finn would turn around or someone else would help.
No one knew she was there, and that would have certainly been the end of Finn's marriage and her way in. But she didn't. She saved Kelly's life. Whether or not Finn was irresponsible in that moment has nothing to do with whether she jumped into the ocean and saved her. And Steffy acted like she would rather she had let her drown.

Luna is more naive than Finn. But it was the constant RJ and Luna that cause me to finally stop watching this mess. I stopped months ago, and I still don't watch, but I read a bit here. I can see they haven't moved on much from Christmas. In some ways, they've backtracked.
