It is not Hope's responsibility. And Deacon isn't the problem. The problem is Steffy can't control Finn's feelings. Finn is a grown man and he's going to feel whatever he feels no matter what Deacon tells him.

The biggest problem I see is that dictator Steffy lacked empathy and she thinks she's the only one that's entitled feelings and if others don't agree, well that's just tough..everything's gotta be her way or she will throw a tantrum like a toddler. If she would show Finn just a little bit of empathy of his complicated feelings, then he wouldn't be so afraid to be completely honest with her or even needed to talk to Hope about it.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

I don't think Steffy should be forced to have any relationship with Sheila, but Steffy does what Steffy wants to do. Steffy is controlling. Finn has never demonstrated being controlling. He has always just gone with the flow.

Well, Hope is too nice. But I'm mostly referring to that nasty comment Steffy made about Hope to Ridge. When she said Hope should have stopped Deacon already. And it was said, of course, with that nasty look on her face.

Hope is way too nice to Steffy. After the way Steffy trashed Hope and Brooke, Hope should have just laughed at her and made a comment about not being able to control her husband after all. But that is not who Hope is. I think Steffy takes advantage of Hope's niceness sometimes. There are some people that you just can't be nice to and it's best to just be civil to them and avoid them when possible.

It would only make sense to be in denial at this point. She has no idea about Sugar, and no normal character could possibly come up with a story like that in their wildest dreams. As far as she knows it’s just Deacon ranting about toes and I’m sick of that myself, even knowing it was true.

I disagree. The fact that Sugar was silent that night is odd. The way the attack happened is odd. I am not saying she should have noticed those things right away but once Deacon started talking about the toes those things would have popped in her head. Steffy is smart she noticed the toes when she ran into her that day at the restaurant and she didn’t even have her face.
It didn’t have to be a crazy doppelgänger it could have been something more normal like a sibling.
Also who cares what Deacon says he is allowed to mourn any way he wants to and Finn could have blocked his number. She protests too much.

If Steffy hadn't been shot and left for dead at the hands of Sheila, I might agree that Steffy would have noticed that things seemed wrong. However, it was clear that she was really agitated and anxious about the weather and the noises outside and especially by the power going out. She was terrified and acting out of fear when she saw "Sheila." Thinking logically during and after wasn't possible.

For me, that is the exact reason why I feel, when thinking back about the events, something would feel off. She has had numerous altercations with Sheila, and none of them looked like this.
Not in the moment or right after, but when Deacon shed even the tiniest bit of doubt, my brain would start overanalyzing every detail of that night.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see if, in the conversation with Finn, we see her looking back or thinking about those things.

Agree. When Steffy bumped into Sheila in the ladies room at Il Giardino the reason she recognized her was because she had open toed sandals on and she saw there were only 9 toes. Alarm bells should have gone off when Deacon told her what he saw at the crematorium.

Her silence was odd, but I probably would have assumed she was trying to make it more horrifying for me by coming at me without saying anything. For me it would be very hard to get past seeing her face so clearly when the lights came on and she pulled up the veil. Deacon didn’t see anything different about the face to prompt him to check the toes when he id’d her.

...to get through to Deacon.

It is not Hope's responsibility. And Deacon isn't the problem. The problem is Steffy can't control Finn's feelings. Finn is a grown man and he's going to feel whatever he feels no matter what Deacon tells him.

Steffy didn't put it on Hope, Hope took it on herself. It was her suggestion and decision to go and talk to Deacon. Steffy didn't ask her to do so.

Yeah, right. It was all Hope's idea. That's why Steffy said Hope should have done it already. :oops

The joke is Hope knows something before Steffy and spent some quality time comforting Steffy’s hubby!:rofl

Lol, I can't wait to see Steffy's face when she realizes Deacon was right. What are the chances she'll apologize to him? I'll answer...zero!

Steffy just needs to stop. It’s fine to be opinionated but she operates as if she has the right to tell people how to live and what to do.

Exactly and that is why I want Steffy and Finn to break up. He has a right to think for himself and not bow to her every demand. It makes me sad, as I used to love them as a couple. Steffy has gotten too out of control.
