Hope told her a million times that she agrees with her about Deacon but that she's giving him a little slack because she knows he's grieving. But Steffy just won't shut up about it. She's so rude and has absolutely no ability to empathize with anyone about their legitimate, HUMAN feelings.
She's the same way with Finn. She keeps calling his birth mother a monster when she is well aware that he is having conflicted feelings about her.

I am so tired of her. It's always the same. It's not just Sheila. First, it was the parent trapping and, more recently, the Thope story. Even when I agree with her, the way she treats people is atrocious. You get a few minutes of sweetness with her and Finn and then back to yapping about whatever the issue is this week. If you had told me five years ago I would hate Steffy, I would never have believed you. She was my main reason for watching. But now I want to fast forward when she comes on screen.

Maybe with CBS's renewed interest in daytime soaps (The Gates), they will offer budget increases which will allow for just a few more characters

I will never forget Taylor telling Stephanie that the reason Stephanie hated Brooke so much was because Brooke could give Ridge the thing that Stephanie couldn't. That was the one time Taylor said something halfway intelligent. And she was actually right.

Yes, balance is important and would make the show more interesting, so the audience isn't stuck with one character continueously shoved down their throats nonstop for so many years. Come to think of it, even before Hope returned in 2018..the show was already shoving the annoying Steffy character down the audience throat because the show got rid of all the other females one by one EXCEPT Steffy..they got rid of Aly, Sasha, Nicole, Maya, Ivy, Caroline and Sally..with ONLY Steffy left to give her all the major storylines. It's been far too many years of this insufferable twit hogging the screen..she should be back burnered ASAP and allow the other MIA characters front and center!

Hope should have told her that people asked her the same question about how could she love Thomas. How could Ridge love Taylor after she shot Bill in the back, left him for dead and left the country will Ridge sitting in jail taking the blame for it? How could Brooke be expected not to hate Thomas after the CPS call and all of the other things that Thomas had done to her family. Steffy is good at ranting about Hope's family, but overlooking the things that she and her family have done. Steffy had only herself and Taylor to blame for Sheila being out of prison to start with. She didn't have to go along with Bill and Ridge's foolish plan of let's get Sheila.
