Hope said a lot of words but didn't really say much at all somehow. I don't think think there was a concrete reason actually stated. She talked about the whole "walking on the wild side" theory that's largely been implanted in her head. The only two things that she did say that were crystal clear is that she's sure about her feelings for Thomas and that she loves (present tense) Thomas.

If Hope still says she loves Thomas that in itself is pining. She has given the reason she isn’t ready to marry again. Nothing to do with Thomas. More to do with being raised by Brooke. Hope has been very clear.

Of course she loves Tom. How awful for Doug if she did not, how strange for her if she was just riding him every night without any love for him. She has yet to say to anyone or herself that she is in love with Tom, and I don't think Hope is suppose to be in love with Tom. Looking at her today, I think she is still in love with Liam, but has no idea how to move forward or if they even should right now.
Notice she looks more like Hope Logan Spencer today, and less like the Horny Hope Logan Tom was getting for months. I thnk in the dialog today we found out that BOTH Liam and Hope were neglecting their children in their quest to not be alone without some man or some woman to help them not to have to face themselves. It is like Lope woke up and realized how selfish they have been to their children and to each other, and to others.

Is that really fair to him given he's been obsessed with her being his wife in like forever? And can Hope guarantee him that she will eventually say yes? I don't think she can make such a guarantee. Right. Hope sat right up there today and said in a negative way that she didn't know what the future was with Thomas, but then said in a positive way at the end that she didn't know what the future held for herself.
I think that speaks volumes for the doom of Thope -- just like Throoke, Tridge, Brick, Brill, Carridge 1 and 2, Ridge and Katie, Bric, etc and so on.

The whole show has been lousy for a long while now. I wouldn’t put the whole blame on Thope. Maybe at the beginning some of it but I think they had a lot of fans now. I don’t believe Thope is the reason

The day Thope broke up and Thomas left for Paris was the worst of that week.
I don't know if the week after was better with Hope and Finn talking and then Deacon seeing 10 toes...they are not there yet.

For me my slide from B&B started when they forced the Tridge family, denigrated Brooke daily, and never really gave Brooke or her fans the true - apology from Ridge - my kids are spoiled brats! Taylor made herself available constantly and I was a fool.
Then Thope was just ridiculous. The final mail for me.
I will probably watch Liam and Hope scenes because I hope they become friends at least.

My reaction is that the character didn’t want to be married to Liam either. In fact, I think she only married Liam because she was pregnant with Beth and that’s not something a good girl does. I think she’s wanted to have a good time and be single, even before she married Wyatt. I believe that Hope has loved a lot of men and I don’t mean that in a degrading way. I just think she would prefer to be single because I think she is looking for the love of her life. She talks about Brooke in a negative way but I think it’s not the whole story of at least Brooke. For all her flaws and feelings, Brooks constant is that Ridge is the great love of her life. I think as written, Hope doesn’t believe she’s met the great love of her life.

Hope is nothing if not a cheater and obfuscator and gaslighter. Her words mean nothing to me after she's spent so much time backing and forthing and evading. Yeah, she doesn't "love" Thomas any differently than she did when she was telling him that it had to stay in Rome. She still won't accept why she won't marry Mr. Perfect. SMH
She's still blaming Brooke for her actions. And by "blame," I mean making her mom the reason she does things.
For me, all the writers tried to do wit this conversation is tick off all the things they want viewers to accept so they can move on from Thope and "both sides" it so they can move on. They want to try to whitewash Hope some, but it's not working. She's as dirty as ever if not more for me. I detest her more with every scene and this is coming from someone who she was my 3rd fave behind Brooke and Sheila.
The writers are in quicksand with me and my view of Hope due to this Thope romance. They might have even gotten me to feel better about Thomas than I do about her. And that means I am opposed to Thope, not for her sake anymore, but for his! She is truly delusional to think she didn't use him.
This is the dumbest plot in romantic history if this is just a stepping stone to going RIGHT BACK where we were a month ago.

She said she loved Tom....but, she is now reflecting on everything and that her mother had made a statement when she saw the ring around Hope's neck, that Hope today said was true. Brooke told Hope she thought Hope was was just reacting when she took up with Tom...and Hope said Finn said the same thing...and Hope said there was truth in it. That she did not want to be like her mom, and that Tom represented a one woman man...then she said....she also knew that she was being rebellious and taking a walk on the wild side. Her words to Liam at the end said more than her saying she loves Tom. She talked about how she and Liam were on the same page, and who knows what the future holds for either of them....and she looked at him in a way that said...."she was just waiting for him to admit he was flawed for thinking he needed a woman in his life at al times. We could say the exact same thing about Hope, she waited an hour after being dumped to go and drop her pants for Tom....Hope has the same issue as Liam, she does not want to be alone for one minute.
Bottom line...Hope said today she does love Tom and they were clicking right up until the last moment, but she really does not know why she could not accept, but she is not saying she would do it any different if she got a do over. Hope also was trying to pry into Liam's private life and find out if there was someone.....and she looked relieved when he indicated there was not, nor did it want anyone right now.

Thope is over. Just like Throoke back in the day. And just like Tridge each and every time they tried to reconcile since 2004. Today with Lope reminded me of Bridge, when Taylor was dead the second time. They did not rush back together, they were more like friends who understood each other better.
