Last nail in leffy coffin (General)

I think that it is always possible to riunite a couple, even after many years, if the writing is good for them (see Deric). After all, this may happen even in real life. The issue of Leffy is in their history that started with a knee jerk reactions (and not with a reciprocated romantic interest) and continued through manipulations, people interfering, baby traps, influence of drug and so on. And it was made possible by this thing that today Liam acknowledged: he can't stay alone.

Yep. I'm glad he's finally at the point in his life that he's okay being alone and just be the best dad he can be..that imo, is a sign of growth.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

It was also a rebound for Steffy.

The show never addressed that just minutes before Steffy thought she fell in love with Liam, she had been planning a future with another man.

If that man hadn’t left her, Liam wouldn’t have been a blip on her radar.

It was unhealthy for her to go from Bill to Liam in a nanosecond and I think a lot of it was motivated by her need to prove herself as being as “desirable” as she thought the men thought the Logan women were (see her conversation with Oliver).

Steffy has a healthy relationship now. It started good, she had time to get over her past relationship and Finn is a handsome, good man. The show can try to paint his small connection to his biological mother as some terrible flaw but that is tiny compared to the flaws of other characters.

IMO it's quite different. It's true that the sudden love for Liam was hard to buy after STILL happened, but from that point on, Steffy has consistently written pursuing Liam and often desperate enough to reach extreme lenghts to land him

Which is why it is unbelievable that it is love. That is more obsession than love.

Yes but that’s because imo of two things: Liam giving her the opening and the rivalry with Hope.

I don’t believe that Steffy is in love with Liam the way she is with Finn. I think she thought she was but she always had insecurities because of his feelings for Hope, I also think he was a rebound from Bill and a “prize” to be won, a sort of validation after what happened with Bill.

I am happy that it was shown that Steffy was over Liam and that she loves Finn.

I said weeks ago that the character never convinced me that Steffy was no more than a pain reliever. His ego needed stroking. The spell could have been broken ages ago, but the show allowed the character Steffi to always make herself available most of the time and allowed Hope to put up with the triangle. Who can blame Liam when he saw the links Steffy was willing to go to to keep him away from Hope and that has never been resolved as far as I’m concerned. Liam was flattered. Who can blame him for turning to Hope because she operated as if she would forgive anything. Liam has been written as a wimp but what’s Ridges excuse for the way he treated Brooke? I think the only reason he loves her is because she can give as good as he can. She is not sitting around, twiddling her thumbs waiting on him. He couldn’t stand that.

For me leffy is totally mismatched and they hadn't better scenes. What's better than Lope puglia wedding? And not to rearsh old stuff but saying he was rebound on both IMO is a semplification that doesn't recap a history in which he was always going to stay with Hope if he let him.

I suppose I don't see steam that way because of their history and the fact its steffy that starts his legacy. Not to be rude but I disliked that wedding, everything that surrounded it was awful. But I understand what you're saying. I guess I no longer root for either. It's so overdone and has become a joke that I'd rather him be alone than end up with one of them.

IMO this explains the sudden instant desire to riunite with Steffy after years of not being romantically interested in her and not taking the chances he was serves to be with her. Not only. For me this explains all the history of the triangle of the hell and why he was so easy professing love for Steffy when Hope was turning him down or was in Milan. I feel like today Bell just proved right the opinion I have always had of Leffy as a total rebound relationship from Liam's part. This for me is the last nail in the Leffy coffin. Maybe events will bring them together again (but i don't see that happening soon), but after this they will be less believable and rootable than ever, for me. Leffy was, is and will be always a joke.

imo, steam had more chemistry and better scenes. I found them to be beautiful together ( ofc I'm not ignoring they have been both toxic and cruel to each other), not only that the actors balance off each other well in romantic and emotional scenes, its not robotic. But now in this season of the show Liam going back to Steffy or Hope seems forced and gross. To me, the value and the interest that was there to either root for Steam or Lope is long gone. There is no interest in seeing him with either of them. He doesn't grow when he's with them. It's like he's in a bubble. He rebounds to either and it just destroys him as a character, they drag him down and then he drags himself further. At this point Liam needs a lot of growth and soul searching and a new romantic interest and I hope the writers see that.

Robotic and awkward? That has never been the case. The triangle would never have worked for all the years it did if that were true.

In my opinion this explains how he was settling so easy with Steffy.

Whenever Liam and Hope hit a bump in the road he turned to Steffy. That makes Steffy his back up plan.

It was nice to hear him admit to all the waffling. Not that it really even needed to be said, IMO. When he saw Hope kiss Thomas in Rome his lips were on Steffy's lips in a matter of minutes.

Liam was settling with Hope, Steffy, Ivy, Sally...he proved that Hope wasn't anymore special to him than any other woman.No matter who he was with, Hope, Ivy,...he could never let go of Steffy , even if it meant losing Hope.
