I was confused when Douglas said that for his mommy Caroline daddy was enough. Did Thomas lie to Douglas about it too? Caroline and Thomas were not together when Caroline died. They just co-parented so Thomas had to lie to Douglas about it to make him resent Hope even more. When Douglas entered the Forrester office Thomas asked him if he talked to Hope and not mom. That was very telling. Douglas literally started to repeat Thomas's words to Hope. Word for word. "You don't love daddy enough to marry him". He even thinks that THEY aren't good enough for Hope and it's probably what a monster like Thomas would say to a kid to make sure that the kid wants to leave with him and not stay with Hope. . If Hope won't see how cruel Thomas is to her right now and she will just blame Steffy then she's dumb. Steffy is horrible for all the nasty things she says, but Thomas made all of the latest decisions on his own. He is cruel because he doesn't have a heart and not because Steffy made him do it.

I always say he just wants to posess her. He was hiding from her that her daughter is alive and even today he claims that he loved her back then. It's not love at all.

It did not show Tom saying anything wrong …I don’t know where this is coming from it’s natural for tom to want to take his son I think Hope didn’t put up a fight cause in her heart she realizes Tom is the biological dad and I am sure they can visit a lot..fact tom told steffy to stop bashing Hope that seems to nit be mentioned a lot….Brooke kept Hope from deacon maybe that’s why Hopes not fighting it she reconnected with deacon she wants Tom and doug to be close

I am not watching because I loathe this plot point. But, this is just a bunch of stuff and nonsense that is written to advance the plot and as in many other plots on this show, there many gaps between what really happened and what fits the current story.
We have all seen this evolution of Douglas's life and this is not it. He adores Hope. Unless it was shown that Thomas told all those lies, it didn't happen. Those foul lines are there to shock and further the plot.

Right. Unless they show factual evidence through dialogue or scenes that Thomas had some conversation where he told Douglas what to say and Douglas just all of a sudden after all this time fighting to not be manipulated by his father just caved in and did it for no good reason, I'm going to say it didn't happen.
Douglas went through a lot in the past when he had to listen and obey his father. He just gave a whole speech about how Thomas changed and was his hero. I don't think Thomas is going to get that boy to say anything to hope that the boy does not mean. And I don't think Thomas wanted to hurt the child and make the child do that. He just was telling hope how he needed to protect the child.
Both said they were not out to hurt hope. There's no evidence Thomas told Douglas to say anything he said. However I don't know where Douglas got that idea about caroline. Probably a rewrite like they always do. Like how they rewrote talking about Brooke breaking up Taylor and ridge. Never happened.
Unless the writers reveal that Thomas coached douglas. That didn't happen either.
If he did Coach him and the dialogue comes out to prove it, that just proves Thomas did not change and thope is a disaster.

I do agree, I think that they are rewriting Caroline and Thomas relationship to fit the storyline and to make it appear that they were a family. In a bonus clip with Ridge and Thomas he mentioned that he and Caroline were together and Liam and Hope were married and that Caroline’s death bought them closer together.

Because this show is so very plot driven..that's why they rewrite stuff all the time and wanted the audience to pretend the real history didn't happen. So dumb and insulting to the viewers imo. Just like they rewrote Emma's death etc..to fit their current narrative.

Yes. Thomas was in love with Sally, but Bill schemed about Caroline's fake dying at the time and Steffy sided with Bill..and never bothered to tell Thomas the truth. So Thomas believed the lie and went to Caroline.

Pretty sure it’s just a rewrite. This is how the writers want us to think of the Thomas-Caroline relationship. Since it was mentioned that they were all getting along so well as a family and the kids were happy Douglas saw plenty for himself to be disappointed that Hope doesn’t want it to be forever. I have no reason to think what Douglas said yesterday came from anyone but him.

This is my thinking as well. That is usually how we find out the nasty things Thomas does. Sometimes we do see it in real time, sometimes we find out after in flashbacks.

I think it's just another one of the many rewrites on this show..they now want the audience to believe that Caroline and Thomas were deeply in love when she died.

Even when Tom does right thing there’s conspiracy theories….he’s leaving to heal taking his son might be a good idea cause Hopes kinda self centered her needs now it’s the new Hope me me…they didn’t show Tom knocking Hopecand he stuck up for Hope to steffy telling her to shut up

I think Thomas and Douglas
showed how harsh,cold,ctuel
and heartless they can be.I want
Caroline to return that way she can be
with Creepy Tom and Douglas.
That way my fave girl Hope Logan
can move on with her life.
