I'm amazed that Hope was so unready to marry Thomas but she put all her eggs into one man basket this way. Her line, her family, her sexual gratification, and her emotional gratification.
I don't get what made her so careless like this. She claims that she was being more careful, but I would think that would be making sure she didn't risk so much.
Now she has nothing. That might be enough to make her want to get married now....

Not one word of "no, please don't take Douglas away" or "I won't let you take him from me"....not one single word. I actually thought we were going to see her getting upset when he said he was taking Doug with him. Nope. She just said "you can't leave" and then tried to kiss him to get him to have sex with her....I am assuming....because they are standing in their "boudoir" and it has always worked for her before to shut him up, or get him to do as she wanted.

Yeah, I thought when she said "no," it would become about Douglas. but no...no, it didn't. A far cry from her freaking about Douglas living at the cliff house last year. And I might add she forgot Beth when she said they were a family!
She thought she had a plan, something she could control, by saying he'd take a break, work at International and email her designs. But he was like, "I can't be around you!" It was like she just didn't get it.
But that's what she always expects -- him to go back to sketching, Co-parenting, or whatever it is she wants to do after they have an implosion of some sort.
But what does happen to HFTF? Steffy didn't even address that. I thought FC was tanking last year? What happened? The Diamond line that good?

I am no Thope fan and if I had ever been I certainly would not be one now. I can not show one ounce of energy to invest in this story line for two people so utterly 180 degrees differently.
Hope has been calling the shots for too long now. So if she is not ready to marry ok, cut the poor fellow loose. He is twisting in the wind and she knows it, he has said it enough, and she knows she would feel the same way if she wanted to marry and he was stringing her along.
I always thought it was HFTF and of course Douglas, and now she acts like that is just secondary, as long as it takes and she gets to dictate when they do it.

But yeah, you're right and that's why she claimed she left Liam. Liam was giving her the best Liam could give her. Even though Steffy was in his heart or pocket or whatever, he was still giving Hope the best marriage and relationship that he could -- but that wasn't enough for her. So why can't she get that Thomas is now in that same position with her? By that, I mean, she's doing the best she can, but it's not what Thomas thinks he wants or deserves. That's the comparison I'm making for anyone who might think it's something else.

Good comparison....very accurate too. Not only that, Hope said something today we are not talking about....she said she had made the mistake in the past about not thinking of her kids and her future....and IMO she was talking about how she was not considering her kids or her future with her husband when she cheated on him by making out in Rome with Tom, and she got caught and caused a lot of pain, and she is not trying to do that again.
When Tom said to her "I know you love me, just not enough to marry me"....I wish he had followed up..."though you had no issue with marrying Liam, a few times, with no real hesitation...why was that Hope?"

Same here. Not a Thomas fan but 100% on his side. And I'm glad he's the one that walked away and not her. It shows he's putting himself first for a change and it's about time.
