Hope is a walking talking joke - literally now, considering the way she is "attired" - and of course her double forked tongue. She is all too aware of her mother's reputation as a homewrecker, as she herself admitted, and so she has always tried to COVER UP for herself by pretending to be wholesome and good.....but it's NOT WHO SHE REALLY IS at all. She is ashamed of her mother's history, so she tries to play the goody two shoes role instead to convince the world that she is the opposite of her mom.......but the apple ultimately doesn't fall far from the tree.
