I can't understanding of a woman who has been so sexually exploited that she forgives the men who abuse her. I know I could never forgive them.

That's it. Sexually exploited. That was term I was looking for when I was describing the writers' treatment of Brooke over time. Yes, she was sexually exploited and then villainized for it.
