Annika on Hope’s evolution

I wanted to show the evolution of Hope Logan. Going from her denial about her feelings for Thomas and saying that she’d never be anything like her mother, then cutting to Liam confronting Hope about her infidelity and Brooke [Katherine Kelly Lang] catching her and Thomas in bed together. Ultimately, she kind of comes into her own and finds her own strength, essentially calling Liam’s bluff and saying, ‘You want a divorce? Here’s your divorce!'

But as written, she ended up looking weak.

Hope didn’t end looking weak. She was weak always taking the waffler back. She hasn’t been weak since Lope ended. In fact, Hope has come across strong

I thought she was saying that Hope's evolution was no longer accepting Liam's cheating.

Yes, but she also brought up the Thomas nonsense too in bold which didn't paint Hope in a good light though (given the evil Thomas has done regardless he's "changed" or not).

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
