Why does Steffy care so much about Deacon’s opinion?

She’s going on and on. Give it a break. She must think underneath Deacon is on to something. Guess what girlie, he is.

She did a number on Steffy since childhood. I get her so called fear of Sheila, but never understood why Steffy would go after someone that she was so afraid of that she ran away but then she goes over to pick a fight. Who’s crazy?

Sheila isn't the one who did a number on Steffy if you are referring to Taylor's "death." If so, that was Omar who did that number. He could have told her family she was alive.

Sheila did shoot Sheila, and the family was left believes he was dead. No one ever mentions Omar. He’s nonexistent because it could call perfect Taylor’s rep into question. In Steffy’s mind, Sheila has tried to kill many people in her family including her and she always says it goes back to her childhood. May it be true in purest sense.

Just because Steffy believes it doesn't make it true, just like she's wrong about Sheila being dead.

Sheila shot taylor, but Sheila did not kill taylor. Sheila went to jail for murdering taylor, which makes Sheila in jail for murder she did not commit. That's because of omar.

They don't talk about omar, of course, because they want Sheila to be the villain and rework the history of what happened.

But Taylor would have been home with her family if Omar would have told them he had taken her from that hospital and would have let her come home. That's on him. That is not on sheila. Whether Steffy understands that or she doesn't.

Steffy also has had nothing special happen in her life in terms of Sheila as compared to other children, either.

The only reason it's affecting her more is she married sheila's son.

It was worse for Rick, who Sheila directly manipulated and she shot his mom, too.
