Hope's words about Deacon

My father has a tendency to make some troubling decisions... When Hope said it I rolled my eyes. Love her, but she really needs to stop believing that Thomas ever regretted what he did to her, Brooke, Liam and many others. He just regrets he got caught. Her decision to date Thomas was even more foolish than Deacon's decision to date Sheila. At least Deacon was not Sheila's ex victim and he is sure that he wants to be with her. Hope's feelings for Thomas weren't even half as strong as Deacon's for Sheila.

Thomas does regret what he did. We have no proof that he does not.

The proof is that he only confessed when he gets caught. If he truly regretted everything he would not have waited for Xander to come back and expose him. He would have told Hope everything way before that especially when they started their relationship. And even then he didn't tell Hope everything. Thomas only regrets after he has been caught.

Besides the writers always show if someone feels haunted by hurting others... We saw Flo in pain for hurting Hope... Heck, we even saw Reese feeling bad for what he did and having flashbacks. Thomas just smiles when he hurts people and later talks that he feels bad and just waits for an opportunity to hurt Brooke or her family again. No flashbacks, no painful looks. Unless it's about his nasty sister or unhinged mommy.
