A One-Woman Reminder

During her rambling session where she mostly said nothing, Hope mentioned being pulled towards a "one-woman man" and then looked towards Liam. It was another subtle reminder that the underlying problem that ended Lope is that Liam isn't a one-woman man. That's irreparable. That can't be fixed. A man who openly admitted to being incapable of being a one-woman man can't magically turn into one nor can he expect a woman he put through the ringer to believe him if he tries to sell the idea.

It was a subtle reminder that Liam *wasn’t* a one woman man. On this show it can and will be repaired, and that’s exactly what was hinted at yesterday in Liam’s dialog imo. Hope asked if anything else (translation: Steffy) was on his list of priorities and he made a joke about Spencer dominating the world (translation: no Steffy), which pleased Hope so much that she walked across the room to be closer to continue their conversation. Liam saying he realized he had no identity unless he was with someone and wanting to focus on being the best dad he can be and his work means he’s giving up his Waffle King title…for now anyway. I seriously don’t know what viewers would find interesting to watch in Liam or Hope going about their lists of priorities, though I’m sure Hope would beg to differ and think we should be highly entertained by her focusing on herself. Anyway, imo Liam stands a much better chance of becoming a one woman man someday (kind of like he already had, before Hope decided she wanted Thomas) than of Spencer dominating the world, given that all he does is gab and go out to lunch. Hope will surely believe him. She wants to believe him. That’s why she asked if there was anything else on his list of priorities, and why she was so pleased there wasn’t.

That's an interesting way to look at it. I still don't buy his whole "identity" statement because labeling himself "dad" is again defining himself by a relationship. I think that line was trash. Otherwise, it seems that Liam is veering from Steffy.

I have no idea what the writers will do but I did see, after decades, they entertained Tridge again. That tells me they will entertain any relationship that want at any point, regardless of whether a person's needs are getting met or not in order to do it.
