Douglas is the star of the show today

Douglas laid truth bomb after truth bomb on Hope! Not one word that came out of Douglas's mouth was influenced by Steffy. I don't believe Douglas was influenced by Thomas either. Thomas told Steffy that he couldn't have her attacking Hope, so there is no way that Thomas would attack Hope to Douglas.

Douglas was asking all the questions that a boy his age would ask after watching Thomas and Hope together all these months. He did have his hopes raised, and subsequently dashed. He rightfully questions why they can't be a real, official family. He called Caroline his mother and that she died. I love that he called Thomas his hero. He knows how much work Thomas has put in, and how much he's changed. I loved how Douglas told Hope that he wants to go with his dad, and "Please don’t stop me from going. Don’t make me go through court stuff again. He needs me, and I need him. Goodbye" It's good that he gave Hope a hug, but held firm and walked out the door. I loved how Douglas told Brooke that he told Hope he wanted to go with Thomas. And I loved the look that Douglas shot Brooke as he was walking out the door!

Good job to the actor, and wonderful scenes from Douglas, the one that was probably hurt the most by all.

I wonder if he forgot that bad, bad Hope had to protect him from his hero? What a shame. He was a nice kid until now. I guess his Hamilton/Douglas genes are calling him.

But Thomas changed, according to Hope. Hope deemed him changed. She deemed him a good father. None of his past matters anymore according to Hope.

I thought the Douglas dialog was possibly some of the dumbest writing ever done for a kid. It was absurd the words they had him say…too formal and too adult. It annoyed me. But, he sounded like Hope was now just another Logan user. He was all Douglas/Hamilton

He is a Douglas, Hamilton, Marone, Spencer. That's just facts. Is not a Logan.

I don't think it was dumb at all for him to finally remember his birth mother. I don't think it was dumb at all for him to question Hope after getting his hopes up this final time. Hope is a user, so he did get that part right, regardless of her family. And Douglas has always spoken as a little, old adult man. It wasn't out of character to me at all. Remember how he spoke to Liam that one time?

I thought the dialog as written was absurd and nothing at all how a 10-12 year old would say it, unless they were Young Sheldon. That was my point ;-). Not what he was saying, but how it was written for him to say it. Like he was the wise oracle of the 5th grade. LOL. All he needed was a smoking jacket and an ascot. LOL
