The Thope family is officially dead.

After what Douglas said today there is no turning back. I don't see Thope ever being together again. At least not for long... Douglas made it clear that Hope is just not that important to him and he doesn't view her as a mother, despite calling her a mom since many years. He has been in her care for longer than Caroline's care, but he is able to say that he views only Caroline as his mom. Who is Hope to him? I guess someone that he needed when his sick daddy was abusing him, when he ran off or used him to manipulate others. Then Hope was his savior and since his daddy is okay now Hope is not needed. He can do without her so he can be cruel.
Hope is the bad one and Thomas is a hero just because he stopped abusing him. Hope should see that Douglas will reward Thomas for the bare minimum, but she needs to work on his terms and spoil him to get even half oft the love that Thomas gets for simply not being abusive.
Douglas is exactly like Steffy and Thomas when it comes to genes and he has proven it today.

It's game over. The Thope family is dead. There won't be any sweet reunion and family time after those scenes. If Douglas would be crying and saying "we will be together again mommy" then it would mean that Thope would be together, but this... This is the end. If it's not then it will be super weird because everything Douglas said can't be just undone. This reminds me of the time when Thomas and Steffy suddenly turned against Brooke and it never was okay ever again. Douglas just switched to protecting his genes from the Logans and I won't be surprised if he will scheme against the Logans in few years. Just like Thomas basically told Brooke that with his mom back in town he doesn't need her as his mommy anymore Douglas just treated Hope like a slave that did his job and can go now. Even if Thope would marry and Douglas would be satisfied with Hope's actions he would turn on her the moment Caroline would be resurrected.


How great would it be if the connection between Hope and Thomas is gone, just like that? :-)

I think that it looks like the writers wanted to destroy Thope and with Douglas still being THEIR son it wasn't so easy... Now they can be truly done. At least I hope so.
