Steffy's motive for firing Hope? (General)

Just trying to make sure I understood it well. I live outside of the US so I don't have access to all the full episodes yet. I only see partial episodes and recaps, so maybe I misunderstood.
Steffy only fired Hope because of that silly misunderstanding with Finn when she walked in on them falling on the desk? Or did I miss something else justifying this sacking? I don't like Hope with Carter (still want her back with Thomas) but technically she isn't doing anything bad. They are single, this not Steffy's business.

Did it ever cross Steffy or Finn's mind that maybe Hope is seeing another guy? Are they really this self-absorbed and narcissistic to think Hope was wearing lingerie to seduce Finn? Steffy is worse than I suspected if she still thinks Hope is after her husband... She thinks so because Hope admitted she had a crush on him after Thomas left her and because of a drunken kiss? I guess it helps her sleep better at night to assume the whole world revolves around her and that Hope must want her husband at all cost. Finn is just as self-centered and self-absorbed if he is going along with Steffy's reasoning and condones abusive firings. She can keep her lapdog on a leash, nobody wants him. Nobody else wants her either, apparently even Liam has moved on.

Since when is sleeping with a boyfriend in a design office a valid motive for dismissal? Every employees (starting with Ridge) would be jobless if it was true. And then EVEN IF Hope was wearing this lingerie in order to try to seduce Finn, it still makes Steffy a bleak hypocrite. She didn't only kiss Hope's husband. She flat out slept with him on Finn's couch, belived she was carrying his baby and told him she will love him for the rest of her life. Before that, she spent years throwing herself at Liam when he was with Hope or Ivy. What consequence she did suffer? When is she going to pay for the cruel role she played in Thomas and Hope's breakup? A single drunk Hope kissing Finn once is trivial in comparison. If Hope deserves to lose her line and her job, Steffy deserves an unreturnable life long ban from the every FC offices.

Steffy's motive for firing Hope?

so, initially Steffy was saying HFTF sales were low and a regular buy said no thanks on the new season but then Steffy gave Hope another extension contingent on her staying away from Finn.

then, Steffy caught her in lingerie on top of Finn, and fired her. really, it should've been about the low sales, but then they did some sloppy writing and made it all about her disrespecting Steffy's marriage.

Steffy let Hope keep the line only to be able to blackmail her with it.
Now that the line is gone she will find other ways to hurt Hope. Hurting Hope is Steffy's hobby. She loves to do it.

Thank you, that's what I have been asking myself for months now. Why is a drunken kiss called the "ultimate betrayal" when a drunken ONS was not really bad, not even when Steffy needed a PT because the baby could have been Liam's. Hope apologised to Finn and Steffy more than once, Steffy, who obviously is sacrosanct, never apologised.
Hope is treated like she's the new villain on the show and needs to be punished while Steffy and now Ridge are her victims...Ridge even blames Hope for Carter's coup, as if Hope would have known how to pull a thing like that.
This has become the Steffy Show and Hope is only used to prop Steffy and Finn. Can't be really satisfying for the other actors, to know that in the end of each story Steffy will either be celebrated or be a poor victim.

The ONLY reason Steffy gave for firing Hope was because Hope was “warned” to stay away from Finn and she crossed the line. That is IT. So no, it wasn’t that her line was failing. Little miss perfect Steffy herself has said it numerous times. Even admitted it was personal.

That's right. And it was said, by several characters, that the line was in an upswing.

No her line was not failing when Steffy fired her. It had not even been launched yet to know if it had failed. They were going by projections on what the line may make in the future. The projected numbers did not look good because of several factors.

Even without Carter redoing the numbers, the projections were rising. People who do not understand what projections are think the line was losing money. The numbers were based on interest polls, not on whether the line was making or losing money. It is sort of like the "Future's market". People use projections based on market conditions to speculate how a commodity will do in the future.

Right after a huge money making collection, Thomas up and left the company. The buyers were not showing interest in the collection because they were unsure of who the designer would be and if the collection would be up to the same standards. Buyers also look at a consumers willingness to buy something based on their buying power. If unemployment and interest rates are high, then money flow is tight. The economy itself plays a huge role in figuring out projections. All it would take would be a decrease in interest rates for projections to look better.

Add to that Steffy was not interested in promoting the line. I am pretty sure that she was sabotaging the line when she spoke with the buyers and that is why they were not sure. She was not even interested in promoting BB relaunch, If it was up to her that line would have stayed in the basement.

Which was because the CEO encouraged the head designer to up and leave without notice or trying to get another good designer. That really lacks in being a good CEO. No one would never let that happen. It isn’t that Hope flopped, it is letting the designer go before finding a good replacement that cause HFTF flop. In other words the CEO

But the line did not flop.... Ridge and Carter admitted the numbers were coming back up. They were not coming back up quick enough for Ridge. The problem was his evil princess (who a couple months back needed a babysitter) would not promote the line. Carter told them (before he revealed to Hope) that he redid the numbers and with proper promotion the line could be saved. People think that Carter wanting to do his own thing with the company was how he would save the company. However, he mentioned cross promoting it with BB and that would create buzz and get the buyers buying... They all admitted that Zende's collection was great.

Flopping was California Freedom, Steffy's ski line, and Steffy's lingerie line And Taylor and Stephanie's Granny Panty line.

Her Motive? Because she couldn't trust that woman a bit!
At what job is it okay for you to make a pass at your boss's husband? At what job is it okay to sashay around the office in lingerie trying to seduce a coworker? Especially when your line is royally failing and this same boss gave you a merciful extension? And have we forgotten how Hope repeatedly said Steffie needs to be taken down a notch or two? Were Hope's actions not very personal against Steffy?
You have someone working for you that you can't trust. And Hope wasn't even making any money for the company. That girl needed to go and should have been fired a long time ago!
