Why was Finn in the HFTF office? (General)

Was it an emergency? Most people who visit people in the job in their spouses office? It just dawned on me that it is Finn who was intruding. That office has a divider where people often try on clothing. Finn shouldn’t be roaming around offices.

I thought that was explained as the model Lainey telling Finn Steffy was in there. He wanted to give Steffy her tablet.

Exactly. And Brooke and Hope and Katie seem to make themselves at home constantly, and they are barely employees.

Actually, Brooke/Hope/Katie all work for FC for many years and Finn is NOT. Big big difference.

It's logical to go there first, but it's NOT logical to leave a note there since Steffy wasn't even in there. He could've easily leave a note with Pam or in Steffy's office.

Steffy’s office was occupied with a shouting match as mentioned, and he was led to believe Steffy would be headed where he left the note. Sounds logical to me, in fact a lot more logical than planning to surprise the COO in lingerie on work time in an unlocked office.

Well he is kind of vital to FC. He runs EOF and is VP of SP. he can ruin FC in a blink of an eye if he wanted to, so, he is very important to them. And, he is the father to Steffy’s daughter, and Hope’s daughter. Finn is NOT Kelly’s dad, no matter how many times he says it to people. LOL. The 2 people that have no business being there other than to pick up or drop off kids, is pathetic Taylor trying to get a glimpse of Brooke’s partner, or wimpy Finn being his wife’s personal assistant.

Except, Finn didn't help Steffy do anything. That was a Steffy decision. He wasn't even in the room when Steffy fired Hope. He found out after the fact, specifically when Steffy came later that night and told him she fired Hope.

This whole mess is on Hope, and ONLY Hope. Finn misread the situation, and he has no legitimate power at FC, regardless. He doesn't work there, and he also doesn't owe Hope anything after she tried to break up his marriage.

Finn didn't see Hope trip, the audience did. The audience has more information, than the characters do. He misread the situation; but if Hope, Carter, and Brooke had opened their mouths and didn't stay mute when asked to offer other alternative explanations; maybe she wouldn't have lost her job.

It seems Steffy and Ridge are the ones in a mess. They're in the position of having to hire a lawyer to keep from losing control of their company. All because they refused to listen to reason and realize that it was simply impossible for Hope to know that Finn was going to come into the design office. But Steffy wouldn't listen, because she made it personal. And Ridge wouldn't listen because he's afraid to go against his daughter. And Finn could have cleared it all up but he would never. Because Steffy would see that as him taking Hope's side and send him to the guest house.

What? Brooke is the lead model for BBL…and she is the point contact person for all the couture buyers. Katie is the head of PR. Hope was the face of the HFTF brand, and had her own team. Also, Brooke is the main reason FC did not go under years ago. Not sure why you think they are barely employed at FC. I will tell you who is NOT employed at FC….pathetic Taylor who stops in 12-15 times a day with her pitiful excuses.

I thought that was explained as the model Lainey telling Finn Steffy was in there. He wanted to give Steffy her tablet.

Yeah, but as he can clearly see Steffy was NOT in there when he walked in, so logically speaking..he should've leave a note with either Pam or go into Steffy's office and leave the tablet there.

But like others (Zende, Will Luna) Steffy has been seen using that office occasionally and apparently Steffy has told model Laney that she would be there that day.

That is a "shared" office and should not really be Carter's and Hope's "make out" or "office sex" place.

Just 2 episodes/ a day before the Finn-Hope-Steffy scene, we already had had Brooke walking in on a half-dressed Carter and Hope in her bra making out bent over that desk, while the door had been unlocked.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

Why was Finn in the HFTF office?

Barbybo, 11/29/2024, 3:55PM (8 days ago) @hopeyougogirl

I thought that was explained as the model Lainey telling Finn Steffy was in there. He wanted to give Steffy her tablet.

Yeah, but as he can clearly see Steffy was NOT in there when he walked in, so logically speaking..he should've leave a note with either Pam or go into Steffy's office and leave the tablet there.

First we had idiot Liam dropping kids stuff off now Finn whole family seems forgetful

The door was shut, and Finn didn't even knock before he waltzed in. Once in, he didn't even call out to make his presence known in case someone else was in the room. Since Pam is the CEO executive secretary, it looks like he would have left the tablet with her to give to Steffy. If Steffy would have been in the HFTF office, it would have been for business and not pleasure. It seems like he wouldn't want to disturb her while she was working.

Pam and her lemon bars were mentioned on the show not too long ago, so Pam is supposed to still be working at FC even if the actress is not shown on the show. It is obvious that Hope didn't know that it was Finn in the office. When she said to lock the door, why did the big dummy not make his presence known? Does he think that Hope is just sitting around the office in underwear hoping that he would drop by? Is he really that narcissistic? Did the meathead not see Hope trip? At most companies, the executive secretary would handle matters like that instead of letting nonemployees intrude in offices disrupting people. It is not the first time that Finn has ended up in Hope's work area uninvited. Does Finn not know how to knock before entering a closed door? How would Finn like it if someone barged into his office without knocking while he was with a patient? I know of a few others that have taken their clothes off at work including Steffy when she was trying to seduce Liam while Liam was in a relationship with Hope.

It’s not the HFTF office. It’s the design office. A shared office that everybody uses including interns.

If Hope wanted some privacy while changing, she should have locked the door.

Steffy and Finn don’t have those rules. Steffy goes to Finn’s office at the hospital just to hang out often. Finn goes to see Steffy at her workplace too. Married people do this often both in real life and in this fictional world.

Hope was behind the screen and not changing in the open area. Unless someone came behind the screen, they would not see her. Just because it is a shared office does not mean that a nonemployee should waltz inside without knocking or at least making his presence known. When Hope called out to lock the door, why did he not say something instead of making himself at home behind the desk? I am recently retired and in every office that I have worked in, the family didn't hang out like it was a country club. Especially the CEO office because they are supposed to be sitting an example for the other employees. Steffy tried to seduce Liam with her intimates line with the door unlocked. In fact, she was behind the screen and thought that Liam had returned and came out and did her little hot to trot dance, except when the person in the chair turned around, it was Hope instead of Liam. Ridge had sex in the steam room with the door unlocked. Most of the characters have done the same thing but they trashed Hope like they haven't done it themselves. Most doctors do not have their spouses hanging out at the office during working hours. Most good doctors are packed with appointments and don't have time for that.

As someone else mentioned Ridge and Carter were having a very loud discussion in the CEO office so if he went there first he would have been unlikely to knock.

But there's a receptionist's desk right outside that office. It would have been smarter to leave the tablet there.

I'm just saying that it would have made more sense to leave the tablet at the desk outside the main office instead of in the design office. If no one was at the desk then he could have just texted Steffy to tell her where he left it. Leaving it in the design office was so random and made no sense. What if Steffy had been in there but already left by the time Finn got there?

Was it an emergency? Most people who visit people in the job in their spouses office? It just dawned on me that it is Finn who was intruding. That office has a divider where people often try on clothing. Finn shouldn’t be roaming around offices.

He wasn't "roaming".. Steffy left her ipad at home and he brought it to her. Laney told him she was going to be working in the design office. There wouldn't have been a problem if Hope would have just kept her clothes on. Especially, after her mother just warned her and Carter to cool it.

Was it an emergency? Most people who visit people in the job in their spouses office? It just dawned on me that it is Finn who was intruding. That office has a divider where people often try on clothing. Finn shouldn’t be roaming around offices.

Finn was NOT intruding. He is married to the CEO of the establishment and has every right to be there. As such, he can roam the premises as he pleases. Steffy, Liam, Ridge, Brooke, Hope, and Thomas have all visited Finn in his office at the hospital, despite none of them working in the medical field or being involved in the business of saving lives.

Finn was informed by another employee, Lainey, that Steffy would be working in the design office—a SHARED COMMUNAL SPACE used by everyone. The room was left unlocked, and Finn, clearly in a rush on his way to work, planned to leave a note attached to the tablet for Steffy. This was a helpful and thoughtful gesture. Additionally, the employee was correct, as the only reason Steffy caught Hope on top of Finn was that she was truly heading to the design office; Finn had only arrived a few minutes earlier than she did.

Moreover, why does it matter that Finn was in the office? Anyone could have walked into that space, and Hope’s behavior would still have been inappropriate. Why didn’t Hope lock the door before changing (especially since she wanted to hide her relationship and they've been walked on multiple times before)? Why did she choose to seduce the COO in an unlocked office—a space used by multiple people, including interns—instead of focusing on reviving her failing line? Why couldn’t she admit to being in a relationship with Carter?

Why, when Finn caught her in lingerie, did Hope walk toward him instead of turning away? Hope made a series of foolish decisions that led to her current predicament. Finn is NOT in the wrong here.

Well, we're dealing with a fictional setting, not the real world. I'm sure if this were real life, Liam, Steffy, Hope, Brooke, and Ridge wouldn't be able to just walk into Finn's office at a hospital whenever they felt like it, especially just to chat. Yet in the world of fiction, they do so regularly,

Why, when Finn caught her in lingerie, did Hope walk toward him instead of turning away? Hope made a series of foolish decisions that led to her current predicament. Finn is NOT in the wrong here.

I have been in charge and worked with others who have been in charge and at no time could spouses walk wherever they want.

Finn's wife owns 1/3 of the company and is co-CEO. He doesn't need permission to walk through the building especially when he is bringing her something she needs for work.

What's Liam's excuse? What was Will's excuse before he was hired?

Oh, they can do whatever they want. It's just Finn that needs to be restricted. :lol

The thing is Finn was an intruder in Hope's space. That woman he is married to was not in that office and he knew it. It did not matter if someone told him the last place they saw her was in the design office. The fact is Steffy was not there and if he had eyes he could tell it. The brainless jellyfish could not even be certain that she would return to that office. More than likely since it was Hope's office and not Steffy's, she would not even return to that office.... I do not care if he wanted to leave a note in Hope's office for Steffy, the fact is Steffy has her own office and that would be the place she would return to. He could even have left the tablet and a note at the reception office. When he is at the hospital, isnt that where he would check his own messages? Why wouldn't she check hers there as well...

Finn's head has enlarged with meat and he now thinks he is Gods gift to women and all women want him. One drunken kiss made Hope realize that she had kissed a toad and she threw him back in the swamp for the barracuda to eat.

It is not Hope's office. That office does not belong to her exclusively. It is a shared workspace for everyone on the design teams. And it is not meant to be used as a room for sex between employees whenever the mood strikes. Her inability to control her libido in the workplace brought this entire mess into existence. She is nothing but a stupid horny twit.

Well it is not Steffy's dedicated office either... It has been shown that Hope spends most of her time at FC in that office. Finn knows that and has even sought Hope out in there himself. Maybe Steffy needs to ask, why did she find Finn in the office that he knew that more than likely Hope would be there.

As for not having sex in that office, EVERYONE has sex in those offices and it is not just Hope or Brooke. The founder of the company set the corporate culture for his company. Eric was the one that set the standard for corporate sex in the offices and steam room. I guess it can be said that even Stephanie had sex in those offices as well since she once said that Eric worked late in the beginning of their marriage and that she would go to him to spend together time.

So if the owner of your company has sex in an office, you would do that too and then claim that you just follow his example because you are entitled to everything the owners of the company do?
:rules

:roll Where does it work that way?

As long as no employe is involved (no sexual harassment, no one accidentally walking in while the boss has sex) , they don't have to answer to anyone, expect the co-owners.

But an employe has to answer to all of his/her superiors and in such a family business the owners can easily fire someone for misconduct.

The dialogue and what was shown cannot excuse Hope by trying to blame Finn. He was told that he could find his wife in the design office. Steffy walked into the design office within a minute or two after Finn. It doesn’t matter whether it’s her designated office or not. She is the co-CEO/ 1/3 owner and can go in that office anytime she chooses.
What you said about Steric sounds as if it was late at night and they were alone……not getting it on in the middle of the day when the entire building is filled with employees like Hope was intending to do.

But with Eric and Stephanie I doubt that they really had sex at the office.

We have often seen these two sitting and having a drink together, so I assume it was more likely that Stephanie joined Eric at work to talk and have such a drink.

When have we ever seen Stephanie and Eric making out at work?

Stephanie more likely is someone who would have take Eric home and then they would have sex in their bedroom.
Stephanie for years has blasted Brooke for mixing business with sex and using the company to seduce the Forrester men.

How much should the guy have to run around given he was on his way to the hospital? I don’t know about all women, but I’d imagine he got the idea Hope wants him because of this conversation:

Hope: I find you attractive. And I would be lying if I said I didn’t think about you and what it would be like to be with you from time to time.
Finn: Hope. You can’t talk this way.
Hope: No, I know. I know. We are adults, but… can’t a girl dream? Can’t a girl dream?
Hope: There’s nothing wrong with having a little innocent conversation.
Finn: I don’t think it’s a good idea to be talking this way.
Steffy: What could you possibly attempt? There’s nothing you can do to me, Hope.
Hope: Oh, come on. Are you surprised to find out that I have a little crush on you maybe? I mean, it can’t be that surprising.
Finn: Okay, listen, hope. I, um– I know you’re just having fun and playing around.
Hope: Perhaps. But you still haven’t told me. I mean, can you make a girl’s dreams come true?

That has nothing to do with Finn going into Hope's workspace that day. Nice try though! But I will bite!

What else was new Finn was always seeking Hope out.. It could even be said that Finn was sending her mixed messages. He could have left when he saw Hope dressed that way, but he did not. I say that FInn saw something he liked and he enjoyed what Hope was saying to him. If he did not he would have left and not come back, in which he did come back for more.

Once Hope kissed the frog, she realized what a toad he was. She asked him to stay away from her and he kept seeking her out. Is it possible that since he knew that there was a chance that Hope would be there that he secretly wanted to be around Hope? Hope has stayed away from the toad for a couple of months. She showed no interest in him or being around him since that kiss. Hope told both the toad and the shrew that she was not interested in Finn. They would not listen.

I wonder how Steffy would react if she knew about all the times her husband sought Hope out, lead her on, and put his hands all over Hope. Even after the drunken kiss.

I wonder how Steffy would react if she knew about all the times her husband sought Hope out, lead her on, and put his hands all over Hope. Even after the drunken kiss.

Except that’s not the case. The majority of Hope and Finn’s interactions (maybe 2 or 3 were initiated by Finn, but the rest were all Hope) were initiated by Hope herself. Finn rarely ever sought her out. She would come to the cliff house, stop by his office, or approach him at Forrester. When Finn was at Forrester, he was usually on his way to see Steffy but happened to bump into Hope.

It’s interesting that you mentioned Finn sending mixed signals when Hope never said he did. She never claimed that Finn reciprocated her feelings or that she kissed him because she thought he had feelings for her. In fact, she repeatedly insisted that it was Finn’s devotion to Steffy that made her envious. She believed Steffy didn’t deserve Finn’s dedication. Hope even told Brooke that the only reason she kissed Finn was because she thought it might make her want him, knowing he had no interest in her.

Even after the kiss, Hope seemed eager to be around him. She begged Finn to remain her friend when he confronted her about the kiss and continued telling Brooke that Steffy didn’t deserve him. She even went as far as saying she didn’t feel bad anymore about the kiss after Steffy threatened her line. Meanwhile, Hope was still fantasizing about Finn post-kiss,

When JJ the singer performed at the Brooke’s Bedroom line event, Hope approached Finn, tried to start a conversation, and followed him around the room. Notably, Finn never touched Hope after the kiss.

Was it an emergency? Most people who visit people in the job in their spouses office? It just dawned on me that it is Finn who was intruding. That office has a divider where people often try on clothing. Finn shouldn’t be roaming around offices.

He did not knock…did he? He came in and Hope said “Lock the door” from behind the dressing screen. WTH? Why didn’t he say…”Hey, it’s Finn”. I just said it out loud, took less than 3 seconds. Now, when he saw her come out why didn’t he start to turn around or cover his eyes, like a gentleman? Now OTOH, why didn’t Hope scream and jump back, instead of moving forward and trippin* on top of him. I know it was done for the story, but again, stupid. If she had screamed, old snarking Steffy would have known Hope was startled and not expecting Finn or maybe anyone.

Idiot Hope not locking the door before she decided to undress out of her work clothes into lingerie in a shared office space where multiple people could have walked in on her is what caused this mess regardless of what Finn did or didn't do.. Sex during working hours is not part of her job description.

Hope was behind a screen. It is not like she was changing in the middle of the open room. I know a lot of other character including judgmental Steffy and Ridge that have had sex in the office and was not part of their job description.

Why didn't Hope shout and ask "Who is it? I am changing clothes! "

Why did Hope just make assumptions and just ordered that someone to 'lock the door' and added that she 'had been waiting for that someone'

Just two episodes before that, Hope got caught by her mother in that office,
when Hope (showing her bra) and a half-naked Carter (without a shirt) made out against that desk.

Why didn't Hope ask or take a peek around the folding screen first?

Yes, if the characters had reacted differently, we wouldn't have the SL that we have.

- but most people go to the office they had been told that their spouse is working that day
(model Laney told Finn that Steffy would be at that office, and Steffy saw them because Steffy did enter that office, Oct. 31)

- most people also wouldn't make out or have sex in an office that was used by others and unlocked,
but we already had had Hope and Carter making out there while half-undressed
(Carter without a shirt, Hope showing her bra), when Brooke walked in to them bent over the desk and kissing (episode Oct. 28)

- most people who undress in a shared office would lock the door or would just announce their presence behind the divider. and would not just make assumptions and walk out to model their lingerie for everyone

She didn't announce herself.....Please rewatch the scene.

Finn was behind the desk trying to leave a note for Steffy on her tablet, when Hope said lock the door, he turned around said "Hope, what are doing! You got to stop this!" and then she walked towards him and that's when she fell on top of him.

I have liked Hope before the writers have turned her into the office sex addict.

The owners/ CEO's of FC have their own rules, but I doubt that
- Ridge would not mind if he catches Pam and Charlie having sex in the CEO office,
- that Hope would just go for a coffee, if RJ or Zende need the design office for a little fooling around/ sex session, with a model
- that Katie would just go for a coffee because all offices are occupied by employes not able to keep their clothes on.

Yeah, Zende said that when he saw RJ and Luna kissing, but RJ and Luna never used the office for getting undressed and having sex.

RJ got his own place - renting the beach house - to have sex.

Why can't his older sister Hope take her current lover to the cabin - or just go to Carter's apartment ?

If that's the case, what do we call Hope? Because who plans to seduce someone and undressed herself in an unlocked room especially that she's been walked on a plethora of times before and trying to hide this relationship?

A FC employee.

Fooling around at work is practically a requirement for working at FC.

:roll

I have liked Hope before the writers have turned her into the office sex addict.

The owners/ CEO's of FC have their own rules, but I doubt that
- Ridge would not mind if he catches Pam and Charlie having sex in the CEO office,
- that Hope would just go for a coffee, if RJ or Zende need the design office for a little fooling around/ sex session, with a model
- that Katie would just go for a coffee because all offices are occupied by employes not able to keep their clothes on.

I remember a scene where Zende was filling Luna in on how it works at FC. I think he told her...just remember to lock the door.

RJ and Luna never did. But Zende was telling Luna that a lot of employees do.

Why was Finn in the HFTF office?

And? She's still an idiot and entirely at fault for her predicament, lol. If she wanted privacy to "fool around" at work, she should have locked the door!

Finn had every right to walk into an unlocked office owned by his wife, where he was told she’d be, and which appeared empty, to drop off her tablet. He did nothing wrong here.

If Hope wanted privacy, Hope should

1) wait until after work and meet Carter at her home or his

2) lock at least the door

3) or if she does not really care about secrecy, at least use a - No entry. I am "busy" - door sign

Absolutely! You listed perfectly three things Hope could have done to avoid what took place. She's the one who made idiotic choices here, not Finn.

That's fine, so long as it's applied to all the characters going forward.

Sure, and now Ridge and Steffy are going to lose control of FC. All because Finn assumed Hope was coming on to him. :whistle

Potentially and then they will get it back eventually. Carter and Hope having any major power at FC will be temporary at best.

Eric, Steffy, and Ridge are also all FC shareholders.....and that will count for something, even if they lose their positions.

I don't expect the takeover to be permanent. But there could be a shift in power, though, as far as who is a shareholder.

How does it ever happen? The show writes it in any number of ways.

Was it an emergency? Most people who visit people in the job in their spouses office? It just dawned on me that it is Finn who was intruding. That office has a divider where people often try on clothing. Finn shouldn’t be roaming around offices.

[/b]

Hope did announce herself when she heard the door open. What was Finn's excuse for not announcing himself when he heard her voice?

You have to rewatch that episode.
Hope didn't hear it when Finn opened the door - and he did NOT close the door.
He just went to the desk at the supposedly empty office, to leave the tablet and a note.

Hope only announced herself when Finn had knocked over the pen an pencils holder, Hope then reacted to that sound.

When Finn suddenly heard the voice, he turned around at the desk - and Hope already appeared from behind the folding screen, saying "I have been waiting for you"
