Is anyone else excited for Taylor's return? (General)

I was excited until i read that Brad told Rebecca that Ridge is the love of taylor's life.

Nope especially with a new younger Taylor. Ridiculous. I won’t be watching

I'm really curious to see how RB is going to portray Taylor. I actually liked Taylor once upon a time way back in the 90s/early 2000s, Hunter Tylo was absolutely amazing in the role, her version of Taylor went through all the emotions. Her first few years she was a kind, professional sophisticated woman, by her return in 2005 the character was a complete hysterical train wreck. Hunter And KKL had amazing chemistry and did so good with their fight scenes, the Brooke/Taylor rivalry during the HT years was probably one of the best rivalries In soap history. And then came the last recast Krista, who portrayed the character the exact opposite of how Hunter did, basically like a 14 year old girl and it didn't work on a soap opera, it was comedic yet tragic. As horrible as the OG Taylor was in her final years, she never acted like a giggly school girl, it was like the character had a complete personality transplant and I don't only blame the writing because KA stated that she improvised a lot. I have nothing against KA and she is a good actress but soaps are not for her. With Rebecca Budig I'm excited because in the past, Rebecca has played more serious, mature and dramatic roles than Krista did, Krista spent years doing comedy movies and stand up comedy and brought that to B&B, her acting style was drastically different from HT's, I hope Rebecca brings back the OG Taylor Hayes and finally redeems the character once and for all, I have a feeling her portrayal of Taylor will be similar to HT's, seeing that RB and HT have similar acting styles. RB has a more mature look than KA altogether, and I can't picture her acting like a giggly school girl like the last Taylor did, she will definitely be a more mature version of Taylor and I couldn't be any happier about that.

I would like to know why they keep bringing this character back on this show only to write her as desperate for Ridge, that was never true of Taylor. When she was being held captive by Omar, and Ridge and Brooke came by she accepted the couple. But this junk they are writing now makes no sense, can't be around her children, because she can't stand seeing Ridge with Brooke just nonsense.

I'm a Rebecca Budig fan and have been since she played Greenlee on All my children.

Can't wait to see Rebecca play Taylor.

I knew about Krista Allen from when she played Shelley on the bold and the beautiful back in the 90's and then the Taylor recast in the 21st century.
I didn't like her version of Taylor.

Not happy one little bit. The role is miscast. Taylor has had the same old story for many year. She's a one trick pony-get Ridge back. When her nasty daughter is thrown in it's a total bore. The only unknown this time is how stupid Ridge has to be to fall for the old tricks and manipulations.

I'm keeping an open mind and we'll see how it goes. I'm willing to give her a chance. I thought they should have brought her back when Steffy stabbed Sugar. Finn was in some real emotional turmoil.

I’m looking forward to seeing RB in the role. I don’t really blame KA for the last go round because how can anyone play a character running up a mountain to avoid talking to a man as an adult woman? I’m hoping the writing this time around will at least allow RB to bring a more sophisticated Taylor. I was disappointed to read that BB told RB Ridge is the love of Taylor’s life. Even if he’d said Ridge *was* the love of Taylor’s life I’d feel better about her maybe moving on with someone new or just being there for her kids this time. If it’s just another Tridge go round that circles back to Bridge … well, I just don’t know why BB would think viewers would have the least bit of interest in being dragged through that nonsense for the umpteenth time. RB also made it sound like she hoped to be around for the long haul, so I guess I’ll try to hold out a smidge of hope for something more than using and abusing the character yet again.

I have been a fan of Taylor's from the moment she stepped on the screen but I am not excited at all. I can't muster up any enthusiasm because every time I do, I am subjected to Brad Bell's trashing of my fav. Brad Bell telling RB that Ridge is the love of her life tells me that this time will be no different. I hope I am wrong but I will reserve my excitement until I see where this is going.

why bring back taylor when they could have brought back nick, thorne(maybe thorne can go after donna, i liked thorne/donna), jack? bridget, and so many others.

i still dont get why they brought back RJ or Will who has the lowest screen time.

I’m not happy at all if we are going to pick up where we left off. Ridge is too old to fight over. He made his choice ages ago. I know there are many people who are stuck and cannot move on but some point they stop trying. I’m so sick of the Taylor character. She will never work out, not anymore. They have messed up way too many times. It’s the writers not the actresses.

As long as Bell doesn’t involve her in another Brooke/Ridge/Taylor triangle I’m all for it.

Can't stand Taylor no matter the actress and not a RB fan. I have watched her on 3 other shows and I do not think a 4th show will compel me. So double no for me.

So not excited. In fact I’m very disappointed. I always liked the actress now playing Taylor. She was so good as Greenlee on AMC. But Taylor coming back - no way. I can guarantee this is nothing but angst for Brooke and Ridge and almost certainly another re-creation of the oldest triangle on B&B. No thanks!

Loved RB on AMC years back. I’m looking forward to her portrayal of Taylor.
