Actually it matters very little who was responsible for Thomas leaving. He had a job to do. He had a responsibility to the HFTF line and to up and walk away was irresponsible on his part and Steffy for encouraging him. Both should have discussed how to keep the line going while Steffy and Ridge looked for an experienced designer. Thomas could have still designed while in Paris until another designer was found. No one, who should be a responsible person, just up and walks away and the CEO allows it with no regard to the line. Steffy knows RJ isn’t experienced enough. Regardless of Hope and Thomas’ relationship, it was badly done. Never should have happened that way

Thomas ultimately made the decision but that doesn't mean Steffy didn't encourage him to take Douglas and go. And then she gloated to Hope about it and called her a slut. Now Hope is having a little fun watching Steffy squirm and it's glorious. I've wanted Hope to stand up to Steffy for years and she's finally doing it. :-)

IMO, it's NOT a big deal because it was way too late as it was shown that the pilot said they can't delay any longer or they will miss their landing spot/time and miss the meeting with the prince.
