Deacon was not aware that Shelia hid those scissors behind her back when she was alone with Hope. When Deacon walked in, she hid them so he couldn't see them.... Blame can't be on Deacon for something he wasn't aware of.

Not to mention it doesn’t mean she was going to slice Hope up. It was a weapon in case she needed to make a quick run for it. I don’t think we can hypothesize she would kill her anymore then Deacon might kill Finn if he were a threat to him. In all of the years on the show she has killed one person the assumption that she is going to kill everyone that is in her way has been proven not to be true.
And Deacon has also tried to kill more than one person. I love Deacon but I am endlessly annoyed by the idea he is just some misunderstood guy. He has done awful things.

Sheila has more than 20 attempted murders under her belt between BB and YR. I don't think it's too far-fetched to say she would have stabbed her with those scissors if Hope had recognized her and decided to go to the police and reveal she was alive. And frankly I don't care if Deacon knew she had the scissors. He is a horrible father who lies every time he opens his mouth. He had 1 year to do the right thing about Sheila but he didn't. He is almost as bad as Thomas for me. Just because he hasn't tried to murder anyone recently doesn't make him a reformed person

This is some bean soup. Deacon and Bill REALLY had to have sex with Sheila to accomplish this?????? At the same time as if spreading disease and yuck doesn't exist?
I'm disgusted by this story. I don't know who wrote this, but they just condoned Bill dumping Ridge out of the helicopter, Taylor shooting Bill, double dipping in Sheila's bed, etc and so on -- just so they can catch Sheila on an ancient crime against a B character. And no, I don't care about Lance. This is fiction and I expect better when bringing down my villain and I expect more honest storytelling.
I'm sick of B&B.

Right and they straight up just lied to us to make a plot happen. I don't like when writers do that. If Deacon was in on it, then why couldn't he just get the confession? Bill didn't have to turn his life upside down. And why would Deacon keep on sleeping with Sheila? I don't get his role besides to tell someone Sheila was staying at his place, but then why keep urging her to run?
