I don't know..it's hard for me to tell if he's in on it or not. He seemed sincere with his love for her lol. And why isn't Bill and Ridge more surprised or suspicious that she goes over to Deacon's place a lot? Maybe Deacon is in on it? I'm just not sure....

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

He did but going though with the proposal means nothing. They need her to confess. If he were in on it wouldn’t he also be trying to get her to confess? He may just love her enough that he wants what’s best and maybe that is Bill.

You’re asking for logic from a plot that hinges on Sheila revealing everything just because Bill proposes. It could be that Deacon is going with more of a subtle approach, one that isn’t so ridiculously obvious

I think today he seemed more like he was in on the whole thing. Then there is the picture of Ridge going to see him, and he does not look angry at Deacon. I want Deacon to be clean in this, but today I had some pity for Sheila. When she told Bill all he ever wanted was for someone to really love her, and to not trick her or hurt her, I felt for her. I can remember when she first came on YR, she was so desperate for love.

I don’t think he is in on it but once it becomes clear she doesn’t trust Bill he may be brought in.
But I also think there are other options i am leaning toward them reaching out to Finn it could also be Mike. Deacon is just not a trustworthy choice at this point.

Sheila isn't getting brought down. The actress is still filming and has a contract, as far as I know. I think someone will get hurt but not by Sheila.
How would Deacon do this, anyway? He isn't aware of anything illegal Sheila has done recently. He doesn't know about Li and the Steffy-Finn case is closed. They dropped the charges, they can't go back. Deacon harbored Sheila for 1 year. He actively helped her escape the police. He was hiding her and lying to the police long before the story with the bear even began. It's gonna be a colossal joke if they turn him into some hero.

It will be Finn if it's anyone. Even if Deacon decided to turn on her, she hasn't confided in him and is going to be wary of sharing anything with anyone at this point. I don't think she is going to be brought down though, at least not via a confession. She is going to be shot or harmed in some way.

When I read the spoiler about the unexpected deception leading the way to justice, I thought about Deacon. The FBI/police department could make a deal with Deacon that he will get immunity for his crime of harboring a fugitive if he helps them bring Sheila to justice. Sheila wouldn't see that coming. If Deacon knows that Sheila is going down anyway, he may help to be able to save face with Brooke and Hope and be seen as a hero in their eyes.

I did too at first but hero? I think that ship has sailed. He has lived with and been sleeping with Sheila since the Fall and the only reason he would do this is because he could go jail. Not because he is doing the right thing.
All of that will come out. It might make him a little better in the end but a hero never.
The biggest problem with the Deacon theory is that what they need is a confession. If Deacon suddenly starts asking her about past crimes especially now that her spidey senses are up she is going to know something is up. Now maybe Deacon tips Ridge off that she has something planned against Bill?
