I think it will turn out that Thomas really is sincere this time. It makes no sense for the writers to have him bamboozling Hope again. We just did that like three times. I think they will be working well together and the line will flourish. Liam will see this and become jealous and over protective because he doesn't believe Thomas has changed and then do something stupid. Liam has been a boy scout for a while so it's time for him to mess up again. Of course, there's always the possibility that there will be manipulations. Steffy sure does seem eager to see the Lope marriage break up.

I agree. I think (and hope) that this will not be again a story of villain Tom manipulating gullible Hope. Let them be adults about this.
You may be right with Liam. Steffy is only waiting for a chance, she already mentioned a few times that Hope´s marriage will be in danger if she decides to work with Tom.

Yes, it seems like that's all Steffy talks about lately. And she doesn't seem too upset about it. :whistle

Yes. It's all adding up. That. The non-stop talk about how rehiring Thomas could hurt the Lope marriage. The gleeful looks on her face when she talks about it. I think Steffy's next story will involve Liam. I wouldn't be surprised if her next move is to tell him about the "hot" comment. I thought Paris might but with all this foreshadowing it could be Steffy.

Liam can knock up every single women in Los Angeles tomorrow, it still wouldn't excuse or justify a Thomas/Hope relationship because of his past against her and her family. They can make Thomas a saint from now on, it still wouldn't make him any less of a depraved stalker, murderer and child abuser. I disagree with Hope's decision to work with him, but as long as it's just professionnal I don't mind it. It's creepy but if she only does this to save her line, then okay, fine. However if they turn this into romance, I'll be out. You say Liam may do something stupid... well, he would literally have turn into a raging serial killer if they want to make Thomas look like a better option.

i cosign this, there is absolutely nothing that liam has done in the past and nothing he could do now that would make a thomas and hope relationship justifiable, not a single thing

She already messed up twice right here. Promised Liam she would never trust him again after what he did to Brooke, 2 months later she has already changed her mind. Told Liam she would turn his offer down, the next day she changed her mind. If it was anyone else Liam would be more understanding, but I don't expect him to be when it's about Thomas. I agree about Steffy. She is drooling. Both women look pathetic

But the thing is, we don't know yet if she's messing up again by believing Thomas has changed. It could be that he really has.

I agree for the most part, but I don’t think it’s Liam messing up again all on his own. It’ll be Steffy manipulating given that she seemed giddy about the lie that Paris told her about the “hot” comment. I agree that Liam probably will be jealous and feel insecure seeing Hope and Thomas finally in a good place working well together, and snake Steffy will likely be in his ear feeding his insecurities by telling him about Paris’ stupid lie making Liam think Hope has romantic feelings for Thomas which is false.

--
Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

What I would Iike is if it wasn’t always Liam that Bell has mess up. Liam has been in a good place with Hope and his girls for quite some time now. Hope and Liam could have mini-downs but something else and bigger gets in the way, this time.

Liam quietly said to Hope, twice, that he will always be there for her, as he held her. It was so quiet and subtle. What is Bill mixed up in or Sheila or something else?

But, I doubt it will go a different route than a repeat mess up by Liam. Bell, surprise me and switch it up. I may only be one viewer but you would get this viewer to return to the show.

I think the characters have to mess up sometimes, though, in order to be interesting. Otherwise they'd all be boring like Finn.

It has. And he has sucked it up and done things her way time and time again for her "career." I just want her to tell me if she's willing to sacrifice her marriage for her "career." She apparently is because she ain't working that hard to find somewhere else to continue her "career" and "message." And she sounds full of herself when she talks about how important they are. JMO. There is none. If it is all about Thomas, then shouldn't Liam also take Kelly from Steffy? I am not liking Hope giving Thomas another chance at her line, but Liam has pushed her feelings aside many times. They have discussed things currently, and Liam has accepted Hope's decision. He isn't angry with her - he said he is scared for her. Liam loves Hope. Hope loves Liam.

Thank you, that's exactly what I saw. At the end of the conversation Liam accepted Hope's decision. He doesn't love it but she asked him to trust her that she will shut Thomas down the second he reverts back to his bad behavior, and he agreed to.

All that remains to be seen now is if Thomas is really sincere and if other people will use this situation to cause trouble. There may be a reason Steffy made the "Hope said Thomas is hot" comment. Possibly she or maybe even Paris will tell Liam about that.

As I mentioned in another post, I appreciate and enjoy reading other comments.

I know no court would do this. Don’t care anymore. Actually, I guess I am moving out of the pro Hope camp, a bit of a surprise after all these years, but it has happened.

I loved Hope in Tuesday's Lope scenes. I liked how she told Liam that he needed to hear what she was saying. Husbands shouldn't dictate to their wives what they can and can't do...even if they might make a mistake. Liam has made his share of mistakes, and then some, and Hope still trusts him.

I don't like all the supposed mess-ups being on Liam. Hope acted very indignant about his feelings last week and I didn't appreciate it.

JMO. So true! If my husband tried to dictate to me what I can and cannot do, he would be sleeping on the couch! True marriages work with give and take. Hope and Liam have both put up with things from each other. They have grown enough to now discuss things. They trust each other (Hope could have laid into Liam for sleeping over at poor Steffy's house when both Taylor and Ridge were there if Steffy really needed someone, but she didn't). Wives don't have to do whatever their husbands tell them to do. They have the right to have their own thoughts and make their own decisions. Hope obviously still knows Thomas could do something out of line, and has stated that at the first sign of something, she is done. So she isn't blind. Yes, she gives Thomas too many chances, but then again, she gives everyone plenty of chances.

Well said.

I think Liam made a lot of great points. It's understandable that he's still worried about Thomas. But Hope really believes that he's changed. So do other people, including Brooke, the person that was the victim of Thomas's crime. It's a shame that Hope was put in this position, but she was, so now they have to deal with it as a couple. I thought their conversation was very real. I just love these kind of Lope scenes.

This is not necessarily a response to your post as much as it is an idle thought, but has it even occured to anyone on the show that maybe times have changed and that's why Hopes message and line isn't doing as well now as before? Maybe Hope needs to regroup herself and reword her message and get a fresh new look for her line? Why is no one bringing up the fact that Thomas was not always the designer for HFTF and yet it still did well? This is such silly writing.

Yeah, we briefly talked about it the other week, wondering what the message is now. But yeah, you're right. It has to have evolved from when she was freaking 18 to 25 or has it?

Maybe I'm in the minority but I worked my tail off through college, law school, associate attorney, sole practitioner, magistrate, and now chief magistrate. It would be a HUGE ask for me to give it up just because my guy is uncomfortable. Yes, my new boss is hot (and he's also 10 years younger than me) but if my guy doesn't trust me and expects ME to be the one to throw away everything.... yeah, that's not going to happen.

To me, what it boils down to is that Hope really believes Thomas is sincere. And if he is, then why should she have to give up her line?

Maybe Thomas is sincere, maybe Hope is wrong. Steffy is the one who gave Hope a false choice to give her up line or work with this man. And yeah, if Hope's husband, whom she vowed to put first before anything else, has asked her not to work with a man who is in love with her, then she ought to respect her husband. If she can't, and it means that much, they should divorce. Hope and her husband made a decision and she reneged. That's not how marriages go. If she wants to make decisions and not regard her husband time and time and time again about Thomas, then Liam should think about leaving her. She can keep her career, but maybe not her husband, too. That's just the risk one takes.

We all know this is not the first time Hope has disregarded his feelings and been wrong. Enough is just enough and I think Liam should consider leaving. That's my view and no one has to share it.

Right. I'm not sure why calling Steffy on her bull is being equated to losing one's entire career. As if Hope cannot spread her message another way. Hope needs to figure out how to grow.

It's been said many times that Liam stated that Steffy's ultimatum was a false choice. It's been stated many times that refusing to work with Thomas is not giving up one's career. Hope doesn't have to go home and start knitting just because she wouldn't be at Forrester, and I don't know a character that got booted out of Forrester that just sat down and gave up their whole career. They went elsewhere.

I don't know that I can parallel whatever happened in your real life to this fictional story. I really can't even speak on it because it's your life, not a bold and beautiful fictional plot.

Liam isn't "my guy." He's Hope's husband. She made vows to put him and their marriage above all else, including a career. If she feels this strongly and wants to be married to her career, then maybe they shouldn't be married to each other. Until then, though, she has a husband to consider FOR ONCE because she has chosen this line again and again and again and again over her husband.

Liam is free to leave this marriage if he's unhappy with Hope. But deep down, he knows HE'S the one that has done far more screw ups compared to his wife..he KNOWS his wife ain't running around having an adulterous sex, gets knocked up by Thomas, gets pregnant don't know who's the baby daddy, then kept all of this a secret from Liam.

Marriage ain't a score card of who did the most screw ups. I hope he does decide that Hope is married to her career instead of him and I hope he does leave.

Right and then she said Thomas hadn't done anything inappropriate and Liam had to bring up that kiss attempt. No man would want his wife working with that person for the attempted kiss reason ALONE.

I don’t care what Hope does. I guess it’s the Beth aspect that bothers me and always will. Hope can have Thomas but I want Liam not to move on with Steffy. I hate back and forth. I would love to see Liam end up with Ivy.

Lol, Hope doesn't want Thomas romantically. And Ivy is long gone.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

Thomas was "redeemed" before when we had the Vinny killing SL and I think he supposedly was also after covid. I don't think he was bamboozling. I think he just does what Liam says, gets right back obsessed again. If Sheila doesn't change, I don't see why Thomas would. I'm strainging to remember any character who has supposedly changed.

Protective yes, but jealous? If Hope is telling him the truth, then she has zero feelings for Thomas. She likes his designs but she hates him as a human being. He has no reason to feel jealousy. If he truly feels jealous he will have good reasons.

Mess up how? He doesn't interact with anyone except Hope Thomas Bill and Wyatt. His last scene with Steffy was 2 months ago. I don't consider it ''messing up'' if he decides to take Beth and divorce Hope. She is not honouring her vows and her family by associating with the person who is dedicating his life to ruin hers. She has given her husband enough good reasons to leave her.

Didn't see he will leave her. I said he should. I would. Nobody should have to put up with a guy like Thomas and a wife who systematically puts the ennemy first over her family, and who lies every time she opens her mouth.

And if Hope is saying the truth about how she feels about Thomas, Liam has no reason to be jealous. I have never thought he was jealous. He is tired of the lies and manipulations, it isn't jealousy. Tired of reminding Hope of Thomas' past. Tiered of being ignored and disrespected. He is scared Thomas will put his family in danger again. Scared Thomas will force himself on her or try to kill him again. If Hope loves this drama, then Liam should walk away and take Beth with him. If Liam hadn't overheard him threatening Flo at the wedding, Hope would still think her daughter is dead. I would never let Beth be in the same room as Thomas if I truly loved that baby.

Hope has no reason to leave Liam for Thomas....Liam has been a devoted husband and father. IF Liam screws up now, maybe but Hope has no romantic feelings for Thomas, so I don’t see her immediately hooking up with Thomas. With Wyatt, Hope was attracted to him. But that’s NOT the case with Thomas..even when she married him last time, she refused to have sex with him on their honeymoon night. LOL.

Huh? Liam isn't even trying to talk her out of working with Thomas any more. Why would he leave her?

Then Liam should also take Kelly from Steffy, as Thomas is her brother and Kelly is around Thomas. However, no judge would ever let Liam take Beth from her mother, so it is a non-starter.

The way I see it, Liam having to put up with Thomas now is NO different than Hope had to deal with Steffy for many years. Hope was frustrated with all the lies and manipulations too where Steffy’s concern where Liam was totally blind when it came to scheming Steffy. Steffy is Hope’s enemy just like Thomas is Liam. So, it’s Liam’s turn to put up with crap.

If he can’t take it, then he’s free to walk away, but he can’t just take Beth with him..just like he can’t take Kelly away from Steffy either. Because he can’t prove these 2 mothers as unfit, in fact, he’s said many times that Hope (and Steffy too) are great mothers. Reason I bring up Steffy is because Thomas IS Steffy’s brother and he’s been over at the cliff house many many times..so, if Beth can’t be in the same room as Thomas, then neither should Liam’s other daughter Kelly. So, if he ever fights for full custody because he thinks Thomas is a danger, then he better be fighting full custody for BOTH Beth and Kelly. JMO.

Just wanted to add....Liam is jealous of Thomas because Hope and Thomas are a “dream team” at FC. I remember the look on his face behind the curtains at the preview seeing Thope working well together. Not to mention, back when Hope married Thomas, Liam called Hope on Thope’s honeymoon night and was very relieved that Thope didn’t have sex, and he told Hope “I love you” and that he will never stopped fighting for her.

Thomas may be sincere in this moment, but the leopard never changes. They can't help themselves. He may want to change but a sexual predator never changes. He will continue to be a child abuser, stalker and force himself on unwilling women.

That's what I was saying in another thread when I was asking if Hope is right, that means Thomas is now redeemed. Or are we willing to accept Liam is right and Hope is wrong and Thomas hasn't changed? I'm not beyond Hope being wrong sometimes. No character is right in every single choice she ever makes.

I think it'll more likely be manipulations. Hope will be tricked into thinking Liam did something. She will wrongly believe it and run to Thomas. It sure wouldn't be the first time. Maybe this time she won't go as far as marrying him, though.

Or maybe Liam will again be mistaken and think something happened between Hope and Tom but it didn't...and he will land in bed with Steffy again. It sure wouldn't be the first time. Maybe this time he won't go as far as getting her (nearly) pregnant, though...:neutral

Oh maybe Hope is gonna have a real attraction to Thomas and that's gonna split up her marriage because SHE is gonna be torn.

This would at least be something new...usually it was always Liam being the waffle, it certainly would be a new experience if a woman waffled on him...;-)

Me too. But then they made him persistent and creepy and made her into a female Liam and ruined it all.

Always thought Wyatt was a creep back them. Couldn't stand to see him even touch Hope. He won her by lies and manipulations with his mother's help.
I like him much better now. Don't see him as romantic but kind of funny goofy.

I agree. Even DB said Wyatt was brought on as the "new Steffy". He was the interloper just like Steffy was. He used lies and manipulations just like Steffy did.

Hope will always get a pass from me for marrying Thomas. She was married to him for like a day, it was never consummated, and she was manipulated into by Thomas when he took advantage of her grief and her concern for Douglas. It was a far fetched story but she didn't just run to Thomas and marry him because she and Liam had a disagreement.
