Do they even have a plan? How does proposing to Sheila help Bill and Ridge get rid of her? Seems like the writers don't even know what they want.

I mean if she were in love with him it might make her open up. But since she isn’t… my assumption is that they don’t know about Deacon.

Hmmm. Ok. It seems like this plan of Bill and Ridge is a bust so far.

I guess will get more info next week but as of now.Sheila doesn’t love Bill so she is not confessing anything to him. They are watching her on video panic about an affair not a crime. Bill proposes and she discusses it with Deacon like what in the world…
They must not know about Deacon

Maybe Bill convinces Sheila that if they are married they can tell each other secrets and not be able to testify against each other in court.

She doesn't love him or trust him, married or not, why would she confide in him? That's the issue. She isn't worried about court, she doesn't want to tell him anything.
The entire premise of this story is that she is madly in love so she divulges her secrets to him but we know that to be false so now what?

If Bill isn’t blackmailing cause he’s not in love steffy can press charges ….we’re soppose to believe these two nitwits are better than police and fbi? These scripts get weirder and weirder

Apparently the police and FBI believe in these "nitwits" as they are working together with them.

Maybe Bill proposes to Sheila to make her think he DOESN'T know about her and Deacon... trying to lull her into thinking everything is fine with him... let her think she is 'pulling one over' on him.

That would make sense if Bill were in love with Sheila, found out about the affair, and now wants revenge, but since he isn't supposed to have any feelings for her, why would he care about her and Deacon?

I am assuming they don't know about Deacon because then at least, it makes sense that he would think proposing might make her open up.

I guess the idea here is that Bill thinks he is in control. She is in love with him, and he can manipulate her into telling him whatever secret she is supposed to be keeping, but we know that she is in love with someone else. And that isn't happening.

The last time Hope was supposedly communicating with Thomas with her eyes it ended with her completely shutting him down when he tried to kiss her.
