Not this. They can change paternities. They can rewrite some details of history but not something like that. They never rewrote Storm shooting Stephanie, Pam poisoning Donna or Thomas blowing up Rick. They won't rewrite this, let alone 6 years later. It would be too insulting for viewers who were watching the show in 2017 and saw the conclusion of the storyline. They showed Taylor shooting Bill. Flashbacks were shown. She explained everything in details and knew things nobody else could know. It's gonna be the worst twist in the history of soap operas if they dare.

Yes, and it has been the same from the beginning. Liam thought he could have done it due to hitting his head and took details from what the detective and Bill told him and convinced himself he did it with fake memories. Once Taylor came (and she never spoke to Bill, the detectives or Liam and apparently not Steffy as she still thought Bill "raped" Steffy), and knew facts that only the shooter would know, it has never changed.

I agree. I mean, even when AN just said she wouldn't mind working with another guy, the claims of "Thope rising" began. KKL said she had scenes coming up with SC, and "Briam is rising" began (well that, and a certain Twitter person who claims to be "behind the scenes said both were happening). I get speculation, but this same stuff gets said ad nauseam any time the shooting is brought up, or Hope has a nice word to say about Thomas, or Brooke has tea with Liam.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

My thought is that the research is done using only those "fans" she allows to follow her, and a lot of that "history" is fan fiction. There are several things that have been said that made me consider where she gets her info from.

If they changed it or planned to change it, KA had no business deciding to put the rumor to rest by saying Taylor SHOT BILL. That's why she said it. In response to questions about it. If it was changed, she should have said stay tuned or not even brought it up. She is the one who brought it up.

Of course not, but the actors also don't blatantly lie. They might say, "anything could happen," or you'll have to keep watching" this felt like, in this particular storyline, Taylor is the shooter. They could change it at some point down the line, but in what they are currently filming, she is the shooter.

Wait! I think I have it all figured out! First, Steffy's hidden twin from her first pregnancy when she lost the baby because she rode the motorcycle after promising she wouldn't survived and was born in Paris, where it grew at very odd spurts. She was filled with anger for her twin dying in the womb, then for herself being kept in the womb for like 13 months (as that is the only way to make it fit). At some point, Big Baby ran into Sheila and they concocted a plan. Then Steffy went back to get Liam away from Ivy, and at some point had to kill Aly to make it all work, (except, that was really the Big Baby no one knew about - she just looked a lot like Steffy! Then Liam got back with Steffy because Hope wasn't planning to come back. So, he and Steffy hooked up, then when Liam got stuck on the plane with Ivy when Steffy had really run Ivy out of town, Steffy hopped all over the bed in her undies and convinced Liam's brother, Wyatt to sleep in the bed with her for comfort. Liam saw them, then later ended his new engagement to lying Steffy because she didn't fess up to Wyatt sleeping in the bed with her in her underwear. Then Quinn kidnapped Liam, and after months, he got away, but not before Steffy married Liam's brother. Then Steffy kissed her BIL Liam, and eventually had sex with her BIL and got that divorce from Wyatt so she could finally marry Liam for real! The Bill causes trouble, Steffy comforts him instead of taking her hubby's side, so Big Baby who looks and acts just like Steffy (and had kept having massive growth spurts so she is now fully adult) actually had the sex with Bill! Then Taylor had to come in and hypnotize both Steffy's to try to get things to work out, but Big Baby Steffy wouldn't work with her, so Big Baby Steffy ran away. So, she convinced Steffy she just had to admit what she did and beg forgiveness. Meanwhile, Big Baby Steffy ran off and found Sheila. She advised Sheila of all that is happening, and Sheila began to create her revenge plot! While Big Baby Steffy stayed away, Sheila hypnotized Taylor to believe she shot Bill, but she had really used Big Baby Steffy to do it, then sent her away again. So, now Big Baby Steffy who is now an adult is in hiding, waiting for further instructions from Sheila. Then Sheila runs into Jack Finnegan, and a new plan forms! She swaps out real Steffy for Big Baby Steffy, and Steffy falls for John Finnegan (who Sheila already knows is her son). Now, Big Baby Steffy is romanticizing Finn, and Sheila has new plans coming forth. She meant to only shoot Big Baby Steffy who was pretending to be real Steffy, but Finn messed that up. So she brought in real Steffy and sent Big Baby Steffy to work on hypnotizing Taylor more. Now Taylor has been properly hypnotized, and Sheila has two Steffy's to play with when one is needed (especially in those cases where there is no way for Steffy to be in two places at once!) Real Steffy is with Finn, but she is causing trouble for Sheila. She needs to swap out the Steffy's again. In the meantime, she has to work with Bill to keep Bill from realizing there are two Steffy's, so she convinces Bill that he can eventually get him "Steffy" if he works with her now (her final plan is to leave Bill with Real Steffy and get Big Baby Steffy with Finn). That way they all kind of get what they want. Now she just has to keep the Steffy's from ever being seen near each other and all will be fine! So, Taylor didn't really shoot Bill, she had Big Baby Steffy do it! I mean, works as good as all of the other speculations, right?

I don't know. The only thing Taylor isn't detailing in her recap of the night is how Bill's scotch smelled or what color his socks were. She was there. She knows about the music, the winds, and the gold gun. That's beyond dispute. She knows he was looking out the window. All that.
I have no idea what believable story they can come up with where she knows all of this and admits pulling the trigger, but she's not the shooter. Taylor's only hope is Sheila drugged her somehow. SMH
