So the CO-CEOS were idiots to fire Thomas? (General)

Steffy and Ridge spear-headed getting rid of Thomas. They are the last stamp on anything, and it was up to them to make sure the lines were right, even if that meant pushing a line back or delaying a line. So were Steffy and Ridge idiots to fire Thomas and forge ahead like he had no impact? Was Ridge an idiot to leave at a time like this? Is there a leadership issue that has caused Eric and Zende's designs to be what people aren't used to for HFTF?

Or is this just something that happens when designers change, leaders change, and that the press will catch up once they get used to it? Isn't kind of like hating a new actor playing an old character until you get used to them?

So since Ridge and Steffy are the leaders, does the fall on them or is this something the press needs to just get used to? Or is this all REALLY damn premature off one review? I have a feeling more will follow, but to me it makes no sense that Eric and Zende couldn't mimick what was already done instead of heading in a new direction, but if they chose to do that, why didn't Ridge and Steffy put out a champaign and hype this up? Why did they just throw the line out there to live or die on a vine?

So the CO-CEOS were idiots to fire Thomas?

I think Eric actually had the last word, but Thomas was fired for personal reasons having nothing to do with his work so I don’t see why they’d go back on that for work-related reasons. They should have to live with their decision.

Eric does not have the last word on how the company operates from day-to-day and on making sure HFTF had everything it needed after Thomas was let go.

I wasn't asking about taking Thomas back.

I thought Eric had the last word on firing Thomas though, so if the co-CEOs were idiots, then so was Eric. Shouldn’t Hope be guiding/approving what Zende is turning out too? It’s her line after all.

It's hard for me to know what we're talking about without the quotes. I didn't see it coming down to Eric. Thomas appealed to Ridge last.

Yes, Steffy is distracted, and Ridge is MIA. They got rid of Thomas for reasons outside of his work performance. Typically, you would look for an appropriate replacement first.

Fashion might be a little different because you like a line or you don't. Taking it in a new direction very well may mean that the people buying it before won't want it now, and hype won't help. Eric probably thought they could create something new with Zende's youthful input and his knowledge and skill.

After the last showing, I am confused by what esthetic HFTF is going with anyway.

I agree, and I would think that they already HAD the designs for the next line. I don't understand that part. I thought lines are worked on in advance. So I don't even get why anything Eric and Zende are working on is being seen right now. Shouldn't they be working on winter 2023 or spring 2024?

Since Ridge and Steffy are the co-CEO's in charge of FC, so yes, the fall is on them. They are the ones who made the decision to let him go. I guess the bad review make them look like idiots, but it wouldnt' surprise me though if Thomas paid someone to purposely give them a bad review as a revenge maybe?

Yeah, I can't help but think he did that. We've had so many fake things crop up at the hands of Thomas or on his behalf. Fake CPS call, fake murder, fake wedding, staged kiss, staged drugged sex, fake letter from Caroline. Did I miss one? So him getting this review wouldn't be stretch.

Ridge has been busy with his love life issues. Again.

Steffy has been busy with her mother-in-law issues. Still.

Hope didn’t open her mouth to tell Eric and Zende that she did not want the line to change direction from what Thomas had designed. If she was okay with changing direction, she did nothing to pave the way for it. She needed Katie to handle the press and social media aspects. She didn’t do that…she didn’t engage Katie.

It’s on all of them…Ridge and Steffy had personal issues detracting from their CEO responsibilities and it’s Hope’s line…she is the face and voice of it…she failed as a leader.

That’s how I see it. Hope is equally responsible…she was part of cutting Thomas out…whether he stayed at FC or not, she said he was no longer designing for HFTF. She just let Eric and Zende do something off track. That’s fine…if Hope was okay with trying a new direction, it should have been something that Hope and the FC team including Katie in publicity and social media prepared the public for. Then it may have landed better. Hope’s sitting there anxiously staring at her phone was useless. Again, no leadership on her part. And the CEO’s weren’t paying attention. Maybe they thought Hope had it covered. That’s not how it works. They should have known if it was all covered. More leadership failings.
