I am wondering. He has his head tilt dog look on at the end of the clip. So, is he going to make her his wife? I can see if he does not, she is going to go full tilt boogie on him and start claiming that he "prommmisssedd this was nooottt abbbboutttt Brookkkeeeeee....oh Riiiiidgeeeeee" And truthfully, right now, this is not about Brooke. This is about Ridge being lied to by his son. This is about Ridge being lied to by Taylor. After BOTH swore they would always be honest with him. So bottom line here, Ridge would have married her if Tom had not lied. Was this about Brooke doing something, not necessarily, this was about Ridge needing to trust the person he was going to spend his life with, and he thought that trust would be safe with Taylor, and not Brooke. But, he was wrong. He told her and his brats that he wanted trust and honesty in his life, and Brooke could not give that to him, and based on what he knew or thought he knew from Tom's lie, he believed that to be true, that Brooke could not be trusted. Well, now all the cards are on the table, Brooke did not lie, the status quo is changed, and now he knows firsthand that Taylor cannot be trusted to tell the truth when the truth is needed. So will Ridge marry her? Who knows? But, if he does it won't be out of pity for her, but it might be out of pity for Steffy.

I noticed today when she stopped the wedding and she said "I want nothing more than for you two to be married...but...." and he quickly responded with an incredulous look and said "that is ALL you have wanted" which said to me, he was doing this solely for her and maybe Tom too. That is it. He believed his trust would be safe with Taylor, his kids would be happy, and they deserved that from him, but now he knows, Taylor cannot be trusted to tell him the truth, Tom is a liar and schemer. But, at least he knows his daughter can do the right thing sometimes. Ridge was really hosed over by 2/3 of the Hamilton Gang today. He must feel like a fool and he has to be hurt that they would hold him in such low esteem that they would do that to him with no remorse. Tom, nor Taylor have any respect for Ridge or his feelings, and maybe he does not deserve their respect, but then that will just make it easier for him to walk away from them. He can say he is doing them a favor, since they really do not respect him. Why would they want to waste their lives on him? LOL

Thing is Ridge has, IMHO, sat back and allowed, colluded, lied and covered their decades of lies, attempted murders, child trafficking, etc. He knows and accepts that. He’s has no problem that they are like that.

Who can forget him thinking it was wrong for Hope to take her own trafficked child home? He didn’t care one bit the horror that Beth’s parents suffered. His daughter was knocked up by a married man, he thought it was great. Again gave not a second thought to her being promiscuous destroying Hope. He knows Taylor shot Bill and again, it’s all ok with him. He helped hide Thomas involvement with The car crash that killed a young employee. No big deal. He knows all about what Sheila did to Brooke...and knows Brooke was beside herself over it....No big deal.

He knows those three are liars, manipulative and evil. Cause, IMHO, he has supported it all.

At this point....Steffy is probably the only one of the Tridge Mafia that Ridge will have anything to do with...but I don't think even she can guilt him into marrying Taylor. Ridge never actually wanted to marry Taylor in the first place...he just rebounded...and wanted to "punish" Brooke for her supposed lie. Now he knows Brooke didn't lie...but Taylor certainly did...and had to be exposed by their own daughter and grandson. Ridge will in all likelihood drop Taylor...since her lie gave him the proverbial "get out of jail free card".

Excellent post!! Thomas already started using the situation. He said you said you lived mom and the call had nothing … So it sets it up for wimpy fake Taylor to cry to Ridge that it’s not fair! She didn’t know until five minutes before.
No excuse. Five minutes, five years - she could have called off the wedding.

Bur he doesn't know yet that Taylor knew before the wedding, does he? He just knows Thomas made the CPS call, not Brooke, and Brooke really doesn't know what he was talking about when he asked her to confess. My husband's working from home, so It's possible I slept through all of Tuesday, and Ridge found out Taylor knew, but I don't think so. LOL

I wish Ridge would say that to Thomas and Taylor. I hope he just walks out on Taylor, but no till he throws those cuff links back at her.

He won't marry her. They haven't even said their vows yet and all the daily spoilers for the rest of the week are referring to the fallout of Thomas' betrayal and the changing relationships. So I don't see any room at all for a restart of the ceremony.

Everyone wants a spouse who will be honest and trustworthy, no doubt about that. So why doesn't Ridge take a good look and ask himself if he is always honest and trustworthy. How can he expect total honesty from anyone when he is not? I am sick of Ridge and his sanctimonious self. If he doesn't want to marry Taylor, I get it, but say it's because he loves Brooke more and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Stop with all this

LOL

Stop with all this
"I want someone who is always honest about everything all the time". His expectations of a wife far exceed the expectations of himself. Life is not supposed to work like that.

He’s a creep

That is putting it mildly!

She did lie. Not speaking up about something so important is lying. She was willing to marry him without him knowing the truth. In fact, she knew what would happen and that's why she didn't "ruin" the wedding with the nasty truth. She is despicable. She chased another woman's husband for almost a year and slept with him knowing he was still married. I have no sympathy for such trash.

Me either. I did a little on Wednesday, but after she was going to marry him anyway yesterday....nah...any pity I had for her is gone. I want her to suffer now, she really does deserve it after chasing Ridge to ground for 10 months, relentlessly.

I agree. She lied by omission, and I don't care why she didn't it, unless she's now insane. Even if she lost her voice she could have written it down. She even told Ridge everything was fine. I hate her more and more.

So that is the spin to excuse Taylor's lie of omission.... Technically she knew and decided to withhold information. She knew that Ridge was manipulated into leaving Brooke... She decided to make Thomas' lie her own. So Technically the lying hypocrite quack does not get off on a technicality.

She was going to lie. She had told him the night before she would always be honest with him and he could trust her 100%. Well, in letting him marry her without full disclosure of what she had just been told, she was lying by omission. And it shows him, he cannot trust her.

Ridge lied to her too, but at least his lie was predicated by his hurt at what he perceived Brooke did, which was ruin their marriage by lying to his face. Ridge probably meant every word he said to Taylor up on that mountain, but, it was not real. None of it, because a lie and a crime had been committed to make it happen. So, anything he said, any epiphany he had, was predicated by the lie and the crime. In legal terms this falls under the Clawback Rule. Ex: the Nazi's steal a Monet from someone, the war ends, the painting disappears. It resurfaces 50 years later with a letter stating the painting was sold to the person that took it, probably even signed by the owner under duress. It is sold to some buyer, through a reputable dealer like Sotheby's. The painting is then put out on loan to the Met in NYC. An old lady goes to the Met, sees the painting and remembers it was in the dining room at her Uncle's house in Berlin. The last the uncle was seen his home was being ransacked by Nazi's and he was being marched off to the trains. She has an old photo of a family gathering, and it shows the painting. The family sues for the painting using the Clawback Rule, and they in all probability get the painting returned to the family. The owner would then sue Sotheby's, who probably did a proper vetting of the painting with the knowledge they had of it, and Sotheby's would have to reimburse the person they sold it to, then Sotheby's would be out the money they made from the commission and the person that tried to sell the stolen painting would be out all of their money because they acquired it from a relative that committed a crime to get it.

In this scenario, Taylor is the relative that acquired the painting through a crime committed by her son. The Clawback Rule would apply. LOL

Not only that....but then he can compare it to Brooke. Brooke who signed the annulment papers because it was what he wanted, and she wanted him to have it. Brooke who did not know anything about why he was annulling their marriage, just that he was, she was devastated and still, did not get angry at him, and did as he asked her to do. That is pure love. Taylor does not have pure love for Ridge. Brooke was willing to sacrifice everything because he told her this is what he wanted and needed to move on with his life. Taylor was not.

And she always has. She's always felt she should be the true heiress to the Forrester dynasty...and the fact that she's always been a second choice rebound...and that Stephanie gave Brooke her blessing...and her ring...when she died in her arms...eats away at Taylor everyday.

Brooke didn't get a pass in her lying by omission, so why should Taylor?!
And if she's confident and trusted what Ridge told her that he wanted to be with her and it had nothing to do with Brooke, then telling him the truth before the actual ceremony won't matter. He'll still marry her no matter what. She's a big o hypocrite for bashing Brooke not being honest when SHE HERSELF is being totally dishonest with him too.

IKR?! And Steffy is worse than Hope in this situation because she turned on her own blood Thomas..thought Steffy's all about Forrester family loyalty? I hate monster Thomas, but he was following Steffy's barking demands that they must rid of Brooke for good, so he did just that.
