This was when Ridge proposed to Brooke in Lake Como.
Brooke is almost in tears as Ridge gives her an engagement ring. Brooke doesn't think Ridge will ever be able to forget about Taylor though. This is about Bridge and the fact that Ridge was the first one to call Bridge Destiny. He never ever said that about Taylor.

She may have used similar words for Bill, but the writers never once had her call him destiny. That word has solely been reserved for her and Ridge.
I stopped watching after RM left. Missed the beginnings of Brill so didn't know if she had called him her destiny. I couldn't imagine that she would have though. Do you remember if the yacht they sailed on after their first wedding was called Destiny? My memory's a bit rusty but I thought it was.

I know. I certainly wouldn't want to live like that but this is a soap and its always about breakups and makeups.

It was not destiny but LIES that reunited them
Brooke was his destiny at the express condition Taylor had chosen Thorne over him and was expecting his child

Taylor lied bc she had too much pride to trap a man with a baby (She’s not a Logan) and spent her pregnancy heartbroken thinking Ridge had cheated and wanted Brooke when he did not.
Taylor never threatened to prevent Ridge from seeing his son.
Ridge told Brooke he loved Taylor ALL ALONG and would have never married Brooke if she hadn’t lied and that she KNEW it.
Ridge just went back to HIS original plan, derailed by Brooke throwing herself at Ridge in vain after her marriage to Grant was found illegal.
